PRESIDENT TRUMP HOLDS COMMANDING LEAD IN IOWA REPUBLICAN CAUCUS POLL
RSBN ^ | May 12, 2023 | Laura Ramirez

President Donald Trump’s dominance in the Republican Party continues as he remains the preferred choice among GOP Iowa caucus voters, according to a poll published by the Trump team.

According to the Trump campaign, a McLaughlin & Associates poll found President Trump to be the “clear frontrunner” among GOP presidential caucus voters. In several candidate and head-to-head ballots, the 45th president easily defeated possible competitor Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla.

The poll of 500 probable Iowa Republican Caucus voters conducted from April 27-30 revealed that in multiple candidate votes, President Trump took the lead with 54 percent of the vote, establishing a 34-point lead over DeSantis. Similarly, President Trump triumphed over DeSantis in a head-to-head battle, winning with 57 percent of the vote.

IOWA 2024: Trump's campaign is releasing a new internal poll, conducted by @jmclghln (500 LV, 04/27-30)

Trump — 54% (+34)
DeSantis — 20%
Pence — 7%
Haley — 5%
Romney — 4%
Ramaswamy — 2%
T. Scott — 1%
Cheney — 1%
Elder — 1%
Christie — 1%

Furthermore, President Trump was the unquestionable favorite among a variety of key voting blocs among GOP caucus voters. Voters who considered themselves extremely conservative and pro-life, as well as agricultural households and voters over the age of 55, backed President Trump over any other Republican contender.

President Trump’s stronghold on Iowa caucus voters boosts his prospects of winning the GOP nomination, as caucus participants “ultimately decide the winner,” the poll notes.

According to RSBN, another recently updated poll, assessing the preferences of Iowa voters, showed President Trump’s 30-point lead in a six-way ballot battle. Furthermore, Victory Insights claimed that President Trump has a “100% chance of victory if the caucuses were held today.”

Iowans are bracing for Trump’s visit to the Hawkeye State this weekend for another 2024 campaign rally.

“I am heading to Des Moines this Saturday to rally with the Great People of Iowa!” the president announced. “Unlike Joe Biden, I protected Iowa’s First-in-the-Nation Caucuses, and always will.”

I can’t believe Pence and Haley combine for 12%, it seems too high.

I know it’s a cliche, but the only poll that counts is election day.

And with the Iowa caucuses, we will see how many show up for minor candidates such as Pence and Haley. As I understand, unless a candidate has some minimal level of support(don’t know the level), people at the caucus supporting such a candidate are instructed to support another candidate instead.

So on caucus night, it’s possible that only Trump and DeSantis have any support when results are announced.

Polls are irrelevant, but Iowa, natural habitat for RINOs, voted for Trump twice in general elections despite Trump being temperamentally the opposite of the increasingly conservative Iowa GOP. Trump support in Iowa isn’t going away at this point.

Don’t bet on DeSantis in second place in Iowa.

Yep...... the voter fraud network couldn’t give 2 shits about Trumps “commanding lead”.....just more motivation to cheat it up even more than last time.

Anybody that doesn’t believe that needs to pull their head outta their ass.

This is an internal poll commissioned by Trump from McLaughlin.

No one wants to contribute to a loser, so internal polls tend to exaggerate the support of the candidate paying the bills. From a pollster’s standpoint, the customer - the guy cutting the check for the poll - is always right. Whatever results he wants, he gets.

Desantis lead in Iowa and a few other polls in November 2022. Team DeSantis said those were all “real” and Trump needed to step aside because he was a “loser.” But since the polls have come crashing down, polls are now “fake” and they don’t care about polls anymore.

You’re going to start seeing a lot more of this.

But many Freepers say that polls are meaningless.

----

Especially the anti-trump/desantis supporters...

They say "desantis isn't running yet. Just wait till he is."

Oh yeah....

I'm not a candidate

So, how many people really want desantis, who has been playing games with people, jerking them around and lying about his intent to run?

How can anyone tell when he's lying, or telling the truth?

Even unbiased polls, assuming they exist, are fraught with error. Victory Insights and McLaughlin, the two cited here, are both on Trump’s payroll. Given how internal polls tend to hype the candidate’s numbers in order to stampede donors into giving and local polls into endorsing, I’d look for polls where Trump isn’t cutting the check. While liberal media polls have an incentive to hype Trump because, as in 2016, they see him as the weakest candidate against the presumptive Democrat nominee, they don’t have as personal a stake in its results. For Trump, bad polls mean his donor cash flow dries up or slows down.

McLaughlin and Victory are both literally on Trump’s payroll. His campaign cuts checks to them. Polling is used to raise cash and attract endorsements. They’re not gonna say he’s doing badly. The customer is always right.

Listen up folks, don’t worry about these polls.

DeSantis isn’t even a candidate yet…..uh huh.

If he declares the polls will swing wildly in his favor and that’ll be all she wrote.

You just wait. Word on the street is, if he declares Schumer, Raskin, Hoyer, Waters, Pelosi and scores more democrats are going to line up to support him because of all that he’s done. All by himself, I might add.
