King Charles III and Camilla, the queen consort, were officially crowned king and queen during a coronation ceremony Saturday at Westminster Abbey, the first coronation there since that of Charles' mother, Queen Elizabeth II, back in 1953.
Massive crowds lined the royals' route to and from the ceremony over the course of several hours.
Charles and Camilla began their procession toward the coronation from Buckingham Palace through Central London in a golden carriage led by eight horses.
About 200 members of the British military were mounted on horses as part of the procession, largely drawn from what's known as the Household Cavalry Regiment. On either side of the route to Westminster Abbey were around 1,000 other soldiers, sailors and Royal Air Force personnel.
They disembarked from their three-ton carriage at the Great West Door of Westminster Abbey, flanked by church officials and followed by a retinue of support staff dressed in red uniforms.

Charles is a Clown.
They could be on an ad for butter.
She made the royals look bad, so they disposed of her.
King Vitamin, have breakfast with the King!
#18 Harry must have realized that he royally screwed up by taking up with that yacht girl from hollywood (prostitute).
Crown doesn’t look like it rests easy on the consort.
Agreed. Diana was her own worst enemy.
The ceremony was nice. It was good to hear Jesus Christ reverently praised in a ceremony watched worldwide.
Meghan briefly married this Swedish movie producer. He had gobs of money, and also she was presumably with lots of movie producers etc. for roles.
She couldn’t keep her hands off of her hair all day. Even with the crown on.
Something she schemed to get for years.
“Crown doesn’t look like it rests easy on the consort”
I posted earlier that it’s the ghost of Princess Di trying to get it off.
He’s still King Charles the turd.
He married Diana because she was the only virgin he could find that would marry him. I NEVER EVER thought they loved each other.
Queen Elizabeth kept it all together....until the boys became uncontrollable. She remained fast until the end. She knew Charles would do the right thing.
Diana wasn't much more than an ornament for the kingdom. I thought her bland.
I watched PBS from 5 AM.
It was sort of a traditional arranged marriage. Diana’s grandmother was a lady in waiting to Charles’ grandmother. Her grandmother pushed the idea, and his liked it.
She was very high aristocracy, and she was young and no one was talking about any past sexual history. They probably gave Charles several suggestions of appropriate brides, and he picked her.
Her ghost was a huge presence. I, for one, could not help but think of how different it would have been with her there instead.
She was picked as someone who would play the role of princess well, who wasn’t that bright, and would not cause trouble. The problem was she played the role too well and upstaged the royals. She was what people wanted in royalty and what they were not.
He makes a fine king. He has already reigned in his son, “Harry the brat.”
