We are so screwed

The unemployment rate is still near a 50-year low at 3.5 percent, with numbers for March to be reported on Friday. But there are no job openings? Golly. Has Biden given us a perfect economy? Everyone has a job ... and every company has a full complement of workers and has no need to hire any one new? It's a miracle!

FED meeting is May 2-3, so we should know by tomorrow afternoon how much/little the rate will increase/decline.

"The number of open jobs in the economy decreased to 9.6 million in March..." Sounds to me that if you want to work there might be an opening around you somewhere.
How many "open" jobs is optimal?

The rate hikes haven’t solved the problem. They are a false solution. The way to slow inflation is to stop issuing money out of thin air. This will not happen, since government is addicted to its ability to devalue the currency.
