As outrage from some conservatives blew up over Bud Light's sponsorship deal with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney, former President Donald Trump was notably silent as calls for a boycott of the company grew.
According to The Independent, Trump's silence on the matter was possibly due to the fact that he holds a significant financial interest in Anheuser-Busch InBev, the company that produces Bud Light.
In his most recent financial disclosure, Trump is shown to own between $1 million and $5 million in Anheuser-Busch InBev stock under an account listed as “DJT Trust — Investment Account #2."

I’d be surprised if he has any motivations related to a stake in a publicly traded company. He has said for years that stocks aren’t very good investments for him, which is why he has been so heavily invested in real estate.
Raw Story via MSN...
Oh, fer bleeps sake.
Normally I’d look at askance at a piece from raw story but given how trump himself is using left wing sources to attack DeSantis it seems like sauce for the proverbial gander.
The story is verified as it comes from Trump’s own financial disclosure statement.
But those who are incapable of defending Trump being on the wrong side of this issue deflect by attacking the source.
Nobody is pure in this war. Most of the public warriors, like Kid Rock aren’t being sincere either. Trump kept quiet where he might be compromised. If I did a deep dive into everybody’s portfolio, I could probably find things that conservatives ought to object to.
Unless you are invested directly into transgenderism or mutilating kids, he gets a break.
Insignificant investment really. As for Trump Jr., I think they simply paid him straight up to promote Bud Light.
The main reason Trump himself is quiet is he really doesn’t care about the culture wars. In fact, he is probably closer to Democrats on many of those issues.
Trump invests its evil rats invest illegally and its fine
Somehow I think that $5mil is an insignificant part of his investment portfolio.
More likely Trump sensed that the Bud people would destroy themselves without any help from him.
This is tge pettiest slam on Trump yet. The day is young.
Was? He still is. The only word from the Trump family is from his son, Trump Junior, speaking on behalf of the family, apparently, asking people to not boycott them. If he was not speaking on behalf of the family, and their shared interest in the company, then I think it would be who’ve President Trump to speak up and see what he thinks. But no, not a hint or word yet.
Anheuser-Busch hired former GOP staffers to help “red wash” the company to curry favor with those boycotting them.
Whatever
Please tell us what is a pure company in this current corruptocracy
Anheuser-Busch sold out to a company in the Netherlands years ago
People pretend Anheuser-Busch is an American company with any kind of not only control but concern for its social positions
No they don’t care. An 18% loss in sales people think phases them. Maybe maybe not
$5 million is still $5 million. It’s probably more than 90% of the American population have, so don’t miss dismiss it so easily. If it was so trivial, then why would he keep it in the face of the current controversy? Face it, Trump is not a culture warrior, there are plenty of pictures of him supporting LGPT plus, defending lots of things that many of us find an abhorrent.
I think he does care on abortion on a reasonably deep level. On that he is better than the Bushes ever were, and possibly in some ways better than Reagan. Other than that, anything good out of a New Yorker on a cultural front is gravy.
Probably many of us have some AB in our portfolios, depending on the bundling in funds. Good chance the ratio of AB $ to our total worth is about the same as Trump’s.
I’m not saying it’s good; it just is what it is.
It’s always about the $$$$$$.
What do suburban women & independent voters think about all this culture war stuff from the “great woke warrior” from Florida?
Abortion and the Conscience of the Nation (New edition/issue) Paperback – May 1, 2001
by Ronald Reagan (Author)
“This is a new edition of the dynamic book first published in 1983; the only book to be published by a U.S. President while he held office.
With new photos and all new supporting materials, the original work by President Reagan shines with a timeless, poetic beauty. At a time when concerted efforts are being made to excise President Reagan’s legacy from history, his prophetic view of the sanctity of human life, and his commitment to the “integrity of the human person” stands as a beacon of moral leadership.”
