HBO host Bill Maher on Friday said Chicago Mayor-elect Brandon Johnson was "excusing horrific behavior" in a speech he delivered following several shootings in Chicagoland last week and questioned why black celebrities with large fanbases do not have opinions on these issues.
"Most of the shootings [in Chicago] are young black men killing other young black men. Is that not correct?" Maher asked.
"Yeah that's correct," guest Glenn Loury responded.

They’ll kill 1000 blacks in Chicago, but if one black gets shot by a white cop, they’ve been so well-trained by the left, they’ll burn their own neighborhoods.
There’s nothing I can do to help.
When pygmy cannibals eat other pygmy cannibals you don’t ask why.
It’s what they do. It’s the reason they are called pygmy cannibals.
Black lives ONLY matter if they are taken by a white person or a cop. There are no money, grandstanding, or political points to be made off of black-on-black murders.
Because that topic is the third rail in liberal LA LA land
Why? It’s always more self-satisfying to blame something or somebody else. Also in the ‘blame whitey’ story, why else would the give a drug pusher later DEA snitch fake reverend like Sharpton a forum like a MSNBC gig?
GOD why have you forsaken me on this day I actually agree with Bill Maher for once? What have I done to deserve this punishment?
Because it’s much easier to blame whitey.
Because there is no Whitey that they can blame! The dems and their constituency would NEVER say the truth about who is doing the killing.
With abortion of black babies prevalent, so called celebrities
consider blacks killing other blacks a late term termination.
Bad behavior and crime is now someone else's fault. "Look what you made me do."
In a nutshell, blacks don’t accept the view that it is change from the inside that will fix their problems. They are firmly in the camp that society must change around them to make things better.
Because they don’t want to upset their customers and cut off the gravy train easy $
Why Aren’t Major Black Celebrities Asking Why Black People Are Killing Each Other In Cities Like Chicago?

Leftards are hypocrites in celebrating Dr MLK. His quote ‘judge by character and not skin color’ they do the exact opposite. Throw good character and ethical behavior out the window and make excuses for the skin color. It’s a disaster with obvious results that this hurts and not helps young black inner city kids. But facts be damned to insane leftards married to failed agendas.
Forgot to mention, NOT WORK SAFE. Blue language.
Why? Because doing so exposes the lies of their white Liberal/Leftist supporters who have contributed so much to the making of so many black celebrities. The main lie has been that most black wrongful deaths are due to racist white police personnel, in spite of the fact that the data has always proven that as false. To make that truthful point is not an attempt to say that no black person has been wrongfully arrested, shot or killed by any police personnel. It is only trying to say that such events are not the “systemic” manner of wrongful deaths of black persons.
The systemic problem is black on black crime, where a minority of blacks prey on their own community and impugn the integrity of that community. That minority also hinders the police relationships with that community by how it raises the level of policing events in the community, particularly those policing events against violent or repeat criminals.
Because they only care when white cops kill black criminals
But, but, but... the official BS line as put out by Chuck Todd (Meet the Press) is 'gun violence' can be stopped by taking guns away from the mentally ill - - (white Trump supporters)... Thank YOU Bill Maher, for speaking truth to idiots. Sometimes to both parties...
