As Texas becomes the latest GOP-led state to consider leaving a multi-state voter data-sharing organization over fears of an ulterior partisan agenda, election integrity advocates have released a report suggesting potential corrective measures or, failing those, a new alternative group.
The Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC), which facilitates voter registration and maintenance of voter rolls, was founded by David Becker, who also founded the Center for Election Innovation & Research (CEIR). CEIR, which received nearly $70 million from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg's Chan Zuckerberg Initiative in 2020, claims, "The 2020 general election was the most secure in American history."
Several Republican secretaries of state have either withdrawn their states from ERIC, are in the process of doing so, or are considering leaving the multi-state partnership. They have cited concerns about partisan influence in the organization, failure to require that multi-state voter fraud be addressed, restrictions on how states may use the ERIC data reports and a requirement for member states to solicit registration by individuals who had chosen not to register to vote when given the opportunity.

The Virginia GOP is urging Youngkin to do the same:
“Meanwhile, the Loudoun County Republican Committee is urging Virginia to leave ERIC, sending its resolution to withdraw from the organization to state officials, including Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin. Virginia was one of the original members of ERIC when it began in 2012.”
Duh
Texans much smarter than to let ERIC stay
ZuckerBucks should have been a clue...
Democrats are in the habit of giving you a half-truth & pretending they told the whole truth.
It was the most secure against Russian interference, because that's what the Democrats wanted everybody to be scared about: Russian influence in our elections. As far as they're concerned, Chinese influence is perfectly okay (Google the names John Huang & Charlie Trie).
But even better, as far as Democrats are concerned, is domestic interference. Every media outlet from CBS News to "The View" was practically chanting, "Vote for the Democrats!" Fifty intelligence officials pretended that Hunter Biden's laptop was "Russian disinformation."
And of course, there's the whole question of Dominion & the practice of shutting down the vote counting in the middle of the night with Trump ahead, then reopening in the morning & somehow, Biden pulled ahead.
That election was stolen. Very little doubt about that. But it was definitely safe from "Russian interference."
“ZuckerBucks should have been a clue...”
The fact that election offices were allowed to accept funds from a private company to install ballot drop boxes and fund other ballot harvesting methods, was something that the courts should have put a stop to immediately. Soon, we will have drop boxes with labels affixed such as “Sponsored by Pfizer”, or “Brought to you by Google”. Or even a Washington Post sponsored box with the slogan, “Democracy Dies in Darkness”.
“But it was definitely safe from “Russian interference.””
.
Or Republican victory.

I’ve written our Texas SoS several times over the past couple of years about ERIC and stating we need to get out of it. Better late than never, but the info was there for a long time. Never should have been involved with it in the first place.
Remember both parties sip water from the same tap in Austin.
The Republicans have a majority in both houses and the governor’s seat, but Speaker Phelan places democrats in charge of some committees. Failures and disappointments by design.
And the GOPe supports this because they benefit from it as well. They make a deal with the devil.
