Chicago's interim police chief is to retire after only month in the job - stepping down after a series of headline-grabbing crimes, on the same day as the ultra-progressive new mayor takes office but insisting that his decision was made months ago.
Eric Carter, the interim superintendent, will retire on May 15 after 30 years on the force.
He took over when David Brown resigned after the February 28 mayoral election. Brown turns 63 in September, which is the mandatory CPD retirement age.

Obviously someone even more blacker, more progressive, preferably a transsexual lesbian of some sort, is needed. It works so well everywhere else.

Just watching the new mayor explain how the rioting youth are just young people doing what young people do makes you sick to your stomach, he is definitely mentally ill

You would have no success writing a movie script about the real Chicago today. Nobody would find the actual truth believable enough to make into a movie.
Chicago has been taken over by barbarians.

I foresee Chicago becoming a no mans land with only the dregs of society living there. It will have so many burnt out buildings and no businesses whatsoever as it would be far too dangerous to remain.
It is a shame that such a great city will die as a monument to democrat policies.

The clown, Chicagoans just elected as mayor, will make Lori Light in the Loafers appear as a rank amateur in destroying a once beautiful city.

He is thus retiring at a higher rank and higher pension

I thought the portrayal of lawless Detroit in the
Robocop movie was ridiculously unrealistic, would never happen in real life. Not any more.

Things are getting spooky all over. In monitoring the social media of police departments in large towns around me as well as the county offices, there's pretty frequent 'congratulations on your retirement'-type posts that pop up. A conga line of retirements going on all over, by guys who in my opinion would still have a lot of time left to give in the profession. They're bailing early to go develop a career in doing something else, perhaps at much less money & benefits, but with better piece of mind and less crushing stress. It was no longer worth it for them to stay.
