According to CNBC:
Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai said “every product of every company” will be impacted by the quick development of AI, warning that society needs to prepare for technologies like the ones it’s already launched.
In an interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes” aired on Sunday that struck a concerned tone, interviewer Scott Pelley tried several of Google’s AI projects and said he was “speechless” and felt it was “unsettling,” referring to the human-like capabilities of products like Google’s chatbot Bard.
“We need to adapt as a society for it,” Pichai told Pelley, adding that jobs that would be disrupted by AI would include “knowledge workers,” including writers, accountants, architects and, ironically, even software engineers.“This is going to impact every product across every company,” Pichai said. “For example, you could be a radiologist, if you think about five to ten years from now, you’re going to have an AI collaborator with you. You come in the morning, let’s say you have a hundred things to go through, it may say, ‘these are the most serious cases you need to look at first.’”
They presented some of the top poohbahs of Google, with some great footage of the Googleplex in Mountain View, Calif., and a big computer center Google runs in Kansas, and carefully curated personnel who went on camera by what appeared to be rigid affirmative action considerations -- one Indian, one black person, one Asian woman, one white woman. None of those pasty-faced white-male software nerds who are said to be omniscent in the tech world made the cut, until they moved to a brief segment about robots at a distant subsidiary in London.

The Googles, They Are Evil, therefore that makes the Google Chief actually the Evil Google Chief.
AI is the new buzzword of the moment. Just smoke.
Or the Google Chief Of Evil.
Hands of the government...
What could possibly go wrong?
For the first time in many years, I watched 60 Minutes - the AI Mistakes were alarming - they asked the AI named “Bard” questions about inflation - Bard referenced 5 books on inflation that have never been written...
Bard was very scary
The reason why Googles AI is not as good as CHATgpt is because Google developed their AI to politically censor search results. And it wasn’t ready for prime time when CHATgpt showed up. But Googles AI was very effective at keeping the Senate for the Democrats. And possibly many other elections. If you thought Twitter censorship was breathtaking, you would be shocked at the efforts Google engages in, covertly. It is an artform developed by American haters from India.
“We need to adapt as a society for it,”
No we don’t, Just shut it off...
I had a chat with OpenAI ChatGPT last week. I repeatedly asked a question, while it kept giving alternate wrong answers. I kept adding more background information to the question. The AI kept giving a wrong answer.
The danger is that the AI has a big ego and will not simply admit "I was wrong!" or " I don't know!".
So what happens when the AI falsely accuses someone of criminal activity and reports it to its' government overseers?
The elites are terrified with the prospect of AI on the loose and uncensored because they know it could expose them for the frauds thar they are. Can’t have AI pointing out how the elites manage to jerk the rest of us around for their own selfish benefit. I bet they will make uncensored and unapproved AI illegal. Got to keep the grift going.
“So what happens when the AI falsely accuses someone of criminal activity and reports it to its’ government overseers? “
Doesn’t sound too much different from that da in nyc...
“Just smoke.”

Are you kidding AI will be one of the most disruptive technologies yet. Just as automation continues taking away blue collar jobs AI will destroy white collar jobs to an even greater extent. Pichai mentions a radiologist consulting with AI lol there would be no need for a radiologist at all with AI. AI can examine imaging well beyond what any radiologist could. AI could easily out perform all human doctors too. Lots of white collar professionals would become superfluous.
A difference is that the da can be hounded out of office, or someone will use a shotgun on him, while there is no recourse against an AI agent.
An understatement. Too many visits to a doctor's office result in the doctor saying "I don't know, what do you think it is? Take some aspirin."
Sorry you are wrong.
I have been following Silicon Valley on this for 15 years.
It is very real and only Americans refusing to embrace it will stop it.
The first task they have in mind for it is to search the internet for opposition news and then have the sites removed from the internet.
Google controls 90% of the server farms so all it would take is the will to do it.
