A Black teenager was shot by a homeowner after mistakenly going to the wrong house to pick up his younger twin brothers from a family friend's house.
The Kansas City Star reported the 16-year-old boy, who family members have identified online as Ralph Yarl, rang the doorbell and was immediately shot by the homeowner who answered it.
Yarl was meant to pick up his brothers from a friend’s house on 115th Terrace. He ended up ringing the doorbell at a home on 115th Street, Faith Spoonmore, the teen’s aunt, wrote online.
A man opened the door, saw Yarl and shot him in the head. When Yarl fell to the ground, the man shot him again. Yarl got up and ran from the property, but he had to ask at three different homes before someone helped him, Spoonmore said.

1) I don’t believe we’re getting the whole story. He just innocently walked up to the front door, and the evil smelly white supremacist honkey cracker just shot him in cold blood? Really? I’d like to hear more. And not from has-been actresses and other malcontents.

I blame the shooter/homeowner. You can’t just answer the doorbell and then shoot the guy who’s standing there for no reason.
But at the same time, I think this incident is the inevitable result of the failure of the criminal justice system to protect law-abiding citizens from the criminal element. In a war, there will inevitably be friendly fire. I blame the authorities for this.
First, the authorities did not say, which tells you that they don’t want you to know if he’s white because they are afraid of civil disorder. They would say if he were black. Second, the last paragraph of the story states that the victim’s family’s attorney says he was white.
This gun owner needs to get hit with charges HARD. There is NO excuse for this shooting. Gun owners (like me) need to be in situational control of their weapon so innocents people not shot/killed. The owners of the home are a couple in their mid 80s. Could have been a younger relative, but my guess is senility played a role.
imagine a couple going to counselling. The wife is fiscally conservative, makes a budget, runs the house, saves money. doesnt drink or run around, the husband cant keep a dime in his pocket and drinks at least a 6 pack a day and gets abusive. Would a decent marriage counselor say " you all need more hate a division? " that would be absurb, and that is what these people are saying" we want more hate and decord with our neighbors "

It was after 10:PM at night and someone was knocking on his door. He was probably awakened by the knock and scared to death. The police force in Kansas City is run by the state . It is a dangerous place.

I’ve represented several burglars where this was their MO. Knock on the door, unsuspecting homeowner answers the door only to become a victim of a burglary
