A social-media account overseen by a former U.S. Navy noncommissioned officer—a prominent online voice supporting Russia’s war on Ukraine—played a key role in the spread of intelligence documents allegedly leaked by Airman First Class Jack Teixeira.
A purported Russian blogger known as Donbass Devushka, which translates as Donbas Girl, reposted the files from obscure online chat rooms. The blog is the face of a network of pro-Kremlin social-media, podcasting, merchandise and fundraising accounts. But the person who hosted podcasts as Donbass Devushka and oversees these accounts is a Washington-state-based former U.S. enlisted aviation electronics technician whose real name is Sarah Bils.
Russia first intervened in the Donbas part of eastern Ukraine in 2014, and most of the recent fighting has focused on that area.
Ms. Bils, 37 years old, served at the U.S. naval air station on Whidbey Island until late last year, even as the accounts she had established and supervised glorified the Russian military and the paramilitary Wagner Group. They are among the most widely followed English-language social-media outlets promoting Russia’s views.
In an interview Saturday at her home in Oak Harbor, Wash., Ms. Bils said she is an administrator of the Donbass Devushka persona, and acknowledged raising funds and hosting podcasts under that name. She added, however, that she is one of 15 people “all over the world” involved in running the Donbass Devushka network. Ms. Bils declined to identify these people...

The Rosenbergs were executed for espionage, not treason. The last person executed for treason in the U.S. was a guy in New Orleans who pulled down an American flag during the Civil War.

This war is ONE the Biden regime, NATO, the WEF and the "liberal world order" in order to enrich themselves. We fomented a revolution in Ukraine with the intent of weaponizing it against Russia. We funded, trained and enable neo-Nazis and Ukrainian nationalist to persecute and kill ethnic Russians. We teased NATO expansion and built a military in Ukraine that was a national security threat to Russia. We thwarted peace at every turn, having Ukraine sign and renege on the Minsk Accords and killing a peace deal last March in Turkey.
This proxy war has been a DISASTER for the American people. It's increased inflation throughout the west. It's undermining the dollar as the world's reserve currency. And, has us closer to a hot war with Russia, nuclear war and WWIII than we were during the Cold War.

I agree that the war has increased inflation. But we did not start the war. Russia did. Anyone who supports Russia in this war is complicit with that. The threat of Nato expansion was just an excuse that Putin used to start this war. Putin is not short of excuses. He’s used every excuse that Hitler used to justify invading his neighbors, and then some.
Assuming the leaks are not a staged event, having such low level people as this woman and a 21 year old enlisted man have access to military secrets would indicate almost incredible incompetence on the part of the Defense Department. I would rather believe that the leaks were some sort of deception, with these two as scapegoats than the stupidity of letting low level persons have such levels of access to secrets.

Barack Obama, at the time a high ranking U.S. official holding an elective office called “president” gave Ukraine security guarantees in return for surrendering their nuclear weapons. Russia and the United Kingdom made similar promises.
Obama gave guarantees that he no way or intention of keeping. They should have known better.

Not true. The first U.S. arrests of American Nazi spies working for Germnay was in 1938. Germany was already on the war path in Europe but formal declarations of war by France and Britain did not occur until a year later - 1939. We did not have to be at war with Germany nor even yet deliver aid to our allies in Europe to recogniza they were our allies and aiding Hitler was against our national interest.
I initially thought it might be a deception. But the problem is that it’s become so embarrassing to the people in power that I can’t believe they would continue with the charade if that were the case.
I think Occam’s razor says they are just incredibly incompetent.
