Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and other mega-retailers have shuttered stores throughout the U.S. due to an overwhelming uptick in thefts.
As Breitbart News reported, reliable retail outlets have begun to make due on their pledge to close stores if crime continues to climb. Just last week, Walmart closed as many as four stores in crime-ridden Chicago.
“The simplest explanation is that collectively our Chicago stores have not been profitable since we opened the first one nearly 17 years ago,” Walmart said in a statement. “These stores lose tens of millions of dollars a year, and their annual losses nearly doubled in just the last five years.”
As reporter John Nolte put it, left-wing cities and states have made shoplifting nearly legal by letting such criminals off with barely a slap on the wrist:

“Walgreens closed as many as five stores in San Francisco due to an uptick in organized shoplifting in 2021.”
Uptick? More like a tidal wave.
My Walmart has the Tylenol locked in a case. You have to get someone to open the case, they put it in a locked box for you to take to checkout, where the checker unlocks the box. Crazy!
I wish I believed suburban American was ready for what’s to come. When the thefts come to local stores near them, I fear they will continue to turtle up.
The Biden Admin, especially Kamal Harris, will strongly condemn these closures as “leaving a vulnerable community with even fewer opportunities to shop for food or necessities.”
Ye Ole “food desert” complaint.
Of course, always said by those who have never operated a business.
Delivery and shipping trucks too.
Yeah, but at least they don't have to worry about mean Tweets from the Bad Orange Man.
A couple years ago the police outside an Ikea caught a gal with a frying pan stuffed down the back of her pants leaving the store.
That had to be one nasty skillet.

I agree with you all the way. The collapse of America is coming. Not because we built a wall, this time it’s because we DIDN’T BUILD A WALL. America is just like one giant WALMART and the diversity thieves are stealing us blind.
“Hyenas” is an excellent choice. That’s EXACTLY what they are.
democrat areas allowed theft by promising to not prosecute thefts under $1,000. (You can’t stop a thief as he leaves the store to ask how much he has, so the $1,000 is actually ANY amount).
They encouraged crime against the producers. Their goal is to destroy our economy which is based on the ownership of goods and property.
The dems would be perfectly happy if there were no stores in ghetto areas; they would set up “free” restaurants, “free” housing, “free” drugs, “free” medical care — all paid for by the people who can’t imagine any way of life other than going out to work every day: the people who stood in line to pay at Walgreens as the thieves waltzed their way out of the store with bags of things being paid for by the people in line.
Exactly.
I know it’s not exactly karma, but it’s similar.
Smart investment by the city.
“Walmart, Target, Other Retailers Shutter Stores Due to Overwhelming Thefts”
Saying it without saying it.
They will not mention the elephant in America’s living room.
“The simplest explanation is that collectively our Chicago stores have not been profitable since we opened the first one nearly 17 years ago,” Walmart said in a statement. “These stores lose tens of millions of dollars a year, and their annual losses nearly doubled in just the last five years.”
Yet out in hard working middle class America...people are supposed to ‘eat that extra cost’ to keep the stores open in Chicago....
Now they’ll come to YOUR neighborhood stores, and you’ll move further out.
The never-ending cycle.
Why do these stores allow folk to walk in wearing a hoodie and a mask?
What’s the problem? Don’t they have insurance? /S
If you don’t punish theft it grows
And gets younger and younger, and more violent.
Go back ten or more years to understand why
It’s also why Sudafed is kept behind the pharmacy counter and requires my ID to purchase
