After alienating "fratty" customers and hiring biological male Dylan Mulvaney to promote Bud Light, resulting in a $5 billion loss over the past few days, Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth is finally weighing in.
"As the CEO of a company founded in America’s heartland more than 165 years ago, I am responsible for ensuring every consumer feels proud of the beer we brew, We’re honored to be part of the fabric of this country. Anheuser-Busch employs more than 18,000 people and our independent distributors employ an additional 47,000 valued colleagues. We have thousands of partners, millions of fans and a proud history supporting our communities, military, first responders, sports fans and hard-working Americans everywhere."
"We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people. We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer," he continued. "My time serving this country taught me the importance of accountability and the values upon which America was founded: freedom, hard work and respect for one another. As CEO of Anheuser-Busch, I am focused on building and protecting our remarkable history and heritage."
"I care deeply about this country, this company, our brands and our partners. I spend much of my time traveling across America, listening to and learning from our customers, distributors and others," Whitworth concluded. "Moving forward, I will continue to work tirelessly to bring great beers to consumers across our nation."
Meanwhile, no word from Bud Light Vice President of Marketing Alissa Heinerscheid over her decision to destroy the brand.
Alissa Heinerscheid, Bud Light’s VP of Marketing, doubles down on her extreme woke strategy to promote the “declining” American beer brand to “young people”, while smearing her former customers as “fratty and out of touch”.
How’s that working out for you, lady? @budlight pic.twitter.com/zNYKbMnZnu— Old Row (@OldRowOfficial) April 9, 2023
There was a deadline for Anheuser Busch to have fired all executives responsible for this disgusting mess.
It has expired.
Keep those losses coming!
Don't forget Blaaa-a-a-a-tz!
Oh, and the farmers' favorite: "PBR"- Pabst Blue Ribbon.
They would rather lose their market share than admit a fault.
My hope is that this and other corporate missteps result in companies, when pressed to sign on to a “cause,” issuing a statement saying, “We don’t get involved in politics. We make beer (or cars, or appliances or whatever).”
Period. End of story. A simple statement like that could prevent years of grief.

The Anheuser-Busch CEO who wrote this is former CIA
..
That’s a other reason to stay away from their products.
Former is such a fluid word..
If that is the case, then yes he will go into politics.
Brendan Whitworth will need more than a tourniquet for this wound.

AB is in a hole about this and instead of stopping they keep on digging. We knew they were going to come out waving the flag. I’ll bet their stock drops further after this non apology statement. Dylan Mulvaney is now the face of Butt Light. That’s what they wanted so now live with it.
At least he had the decency not to throw in a statement like “the founding fathers would have approved the openness of alternative ideas”.
Written by a bot I’m sure.
What a nothing statement.
Still haven’t fired the marketing exec. I’m looking forward to the earnings call on the 20th. The fact the marketing exec is still employed tells you exactly what you need to know, and that is that they will keep the exec and double down on the pedophile agenda.
Wave the American flag? Hell, the company is Belgian owned.
Rich may have pulled the queer beer but bet the farm Blake did not.
Saw some hispanic workers in the 7-11 this afternoon buying a six pack of Yuengling. I was in the beer cave with them. They walked past the Corona and Modelo to get the Yuengling. Never seen Mexican work crews buying anything other than Mexican beer.
This is going to leave a mark.

It’s the case. The CEO is a former CIA spook.
We can’t boycott every single woke company, but we don’t have to. We have to pick our targets. Two or three companies experiencing serious pain and loss for going woke will lead to others thinking twice. Then we pick another target. And then another. It won’t be long before they get the message because money talks. I just hope this boycott has staying power and the company literally goes out of business. The innocent truck drivers and assembly line workers can get jobs at the companies that fill the void. We have to stand firm and reject every apology, no matter how remorseful. They’ve crossed the Rubicon and there is no going back.
“We’re so stupid in management that we didn’t realize that sexualizing your kids, taking them away, and turning them into eunuchs could possibly be a controversial issue. Our bad.”
