Former President Donald Trump said Tuesday on FNC’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight” that he will not drop out of the 2024 race even if he is convicted in a New York case involving alleged hush-money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Host Tucker Carlson asked, “So they’re trying to prevent you from making to it the general election.”
Trump said, “Yes.”
Carlson continued, “By tying you up in lawsuits charging you with crimes.”
Trump said, “The old Soviet process.”
Carlson said, “The old Soviet process. You’ve described it as all legitimate If this goes to trial and you get convicted in the middle of a presidential campaign, how would you respond?”
Trump said, “It’s so off the statute of limitations, years off, it’s hard to believe. You know, usually when you have something like this, the Democrats say he’s terribly guilty. The Democrats have even said, I’m innocent.”
Carlson asked, “Is there anything they could throw at you legally that would convince you to drop out the race? If you get convicted in this case in New York, would you drop out?”
Trump responded, “No, I’d never drop — it’s not my thing. I wouldn’t do it.”

Even though I prefer the other guy, I would be furious at Trump if he allowed the Democrat Stasi to force him to withdraw.
Trump won’t be allowed to win. Voting irregularities, ballot harvesting and simple vote theft have not been addressed to any real degree, the same people who counted the votes last time will count them again in 2024. Trump won’t be allowed to win.

It was refreshing listening to a President who could complete a sentence.
The measures taken in 2020 established in my mind the magnitude of hatred and willingness to twist any aspect of morality within the anti Trump faction(s).

Yes, a GOP candidate would only be allowed to win if he or she could be controlled by the deep state. A (D) would be preferable to them since most wants the decline of America. I don’t know how much further down it could go since we’re, to me, rock bottom now. A (R) would try to manage the decline.

It is sooooooo absolutely embarrassing that the United States - that great and shining city on a hill and beacon of democracy (I’m saying this sarcastically) - can’t have a transparently honest election. The processes are trivially straightforward.
How can any other nation in the world take anything our “elected” leaders say at face value if their very position was obtained by participating in a lie?

Somehow I think if it was 2016 and Hillary Clinton was saying “I’m not dropping out if convicted of a criminal charge,” your response wouldn’t be “wow, such leadership!”
