College swimming champion Riley Gaines says she plans to take legal action after San Francisco State University praised students for 'peaceful' protest at an event where she claims she was assaulted and held for ransom.
Gaines, 23, says she was forced to barricade herself inside a room for around three hours at the campus Thursday night after a group of activists ambushed her, in an alleged assault she called 'violent, completely wrong and criminal.'
She was giving a speech to students about competing against Lia Thomas, a transgender woman, at the Women's NCAA Swimming Championships last year. It's unclear what exactly set off the fracas but video shows students loudly drowning out Gaines' speech about competing against 'biological males' in women's sports.

the university has nothing to lose. When they lose and have to deliver a payout they’re not paying. You are paying. They defray that out from public funds. They’ve got bottomless pockets with no accountability. The only time you’ll see action on any of these infractions is when the actual perpetrators of the action are made to pay from their own pockets. It’s got to hurt or it’s not going to work. You’re just suing yourself.
There is no deterrence where there is not a credible threat of the use of force.

These entitled west coast uber-leftists are leading the revolution, making their east coast counterparts look like 1970s college debating teams. The reason is that a steady diet of salmon, wild berries and Starbucks coffee changes the human brain into a sort of dinosaur brain, or so it would seem.
Actually a more sensible analysis is that west coast governments (state and city) are mostly so far to the left that none of the antics of these uber-leftists appear wrong, let alone actionable, to the authorities, and the police forces are now largely infiltrated with woke hand-wringers also.
You see this triumphalist attitude among eco-freaks, climate warriors, spokespersons for the homeless, free drug use advocates, the open border crowd, and this transgender attack force. It all revolves around the Antifa black hole.
The end to all this is surely partition. In the west there is a natural barrier beyond which the left have only limited powers (the Cascades - Sierra Nevada). In the east and Midwest, the boundaries are urban-rural. I cannot imagine a solution otherwise given the demographics and magnitude of election fraud.
A critical mass (in more ways than one) need to come together in the heartland, declare their independence, and stop recognizing the DC government, setting up a new one and admitting portions of states that are themselves partitioned. This would work in Canada too and it gives rise to a natural cross-border heartland entity. I don’t have illusions about this being easy, but what alternative is even possible, let alone easy? Let the socialists run their own show, we can guess how that will end up just from looking at Venezuela and Cuba. Why should we be governed by these idiots?
csu is a big fish in any judicial court pond. they can afford to retain top legal talent. the judges tend to give csu big latitude in hearings (meaning that they are allowed mistakes while plaintiffs are not).
the punishment is that there is still residual danger of public loss of face from losing a case, and the bureaucracy eventually grinds down upon the individual perp employees who might then be at risk of being denied the promotions and coveted positions that they would otherwise get.
Partition won’t work because they will never stop their Satanic-supported war against the rest of God-supporting humanity. They’ve got to be completely and thoroughly defeated.
She should sue. The problem is that it costs money to sue - unless she can find an attorney who wants the exposure and will do it on contingency.
