There are storms brewing everywhere and I’m afraid they are going to join together to become one big super storm that will consume everything in its path.
I’ve said this for years, the stupid people that vote Democrat will be out of a job, because people like me design and program machines that aren’t as big of a pain in the a$$ as most Democrats are.
Our problem is how to deal with all our idiots?
They are no longer needed, useful, and historically not trainable and disiciplined.

That’s the paradox of automation and tech. It’s not pleasant being on the short end of the stick when the time comes, but people re-tool themselves to adapt. That’s the point of these warnings. Don’t get caught flat-footed on the factory floor by being the specialist left-handed veeble-nut tightener on the Kuhneutson valve.

It was only a few years ago the press was full of stories about self driving trucks. The stories promised that truck driving jobs would soon be eliminated as self driving 18 wheelers took over hauling America’s freight on the highways.
Today it seems almost every 18 wheeler on the highway has an ad on the back door offering top wages for human drivers. The electric powered AI controlled 18 wheelers are still in the lab.
Lawyers & CPAs would be the easiest to replace.
Time will tell, but based on my observations AI tools may compete for some jobs, but will create more and better jobs for smart people— so if we stop importing and subsidizing the birth of idiots it will be of benefit for the US.

I’m in the business. AI scare the ever living crap out of me. Well, not AI itself but the obvious miss-use that will come with it.
However, you nailed it on the jobs. Yes, AI will replace many present day jobs but brand new jobs that aren’t a thing at this point will be created because of it. New skill sets will be needed to fill the new future roles.

Yes, I recall. And now California wants to pass a law that all “self-driving” trucks must have a driver in the vehicle.
Civil Service rules will protect them. We will have to pay them not to work as we did most during the Democrat Party pandemic.
They’re underestimating by at least 10x here.
