It was only a few years ago the press was full of stories about self driving trucks. The stories promised that truck driving jobs would soon be eliminated as self driving 18 wheelers took over hauling America’s freight on the highways.
Today it seems almost every 18 wheeler on the highway has an ad on the back door offering top wages for human drivers. The electric powered AI controlled 18 wheelers are still in the lab.
