Poll: Donald Trump Expands Dominating Lead over DeSantis to 37 Points
Poll: Donald Trump Expands Dominating Lead over DeSantis to 37 Points ^ | 7 Apr 2023 | NICK GILBERTSON

Former President Donald Trump gained ten points of support among Republicans since his arrest on Tuesday, expanding his lead over Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), according to a hypothetical Republican primary poll.

The Ispos/Reuters poll conducted after Trump’s arrest in Manhattan for a case many conservatives have dubbed “politically motivated” finds that 58 percent of registered Republicans want him as their nominee. DeSantis, who has not announced a candidacy for the race, secures second place with 21 percent of support. No other candidate eclipsed five percent of support.

Another Ispos/Reuters poll taken ahead of the arrest but after the indictment had Trump at 48 percent of support and DeSantis at 19 percent. In other words, Trump has seen a net gain of eight points to his lead over the Florida governor in just a few days’ time.

The race was much closer prior to the indictment. A third poll conducted from March 14-20 had Trump 14 points up on DeSantis, at 44 percent and 30 percent, respectively.

“...personality based conservative vision”

Why are you even on this site if you think that Trump voters are ‘personality based’?

Only LEFTISTS make that claim, so why post here?

Translation: Progs don’t want DeSantis to run.

Is that you Ann Coulter?

Ann Coulter: Democrats are playing Republicans like a fiddle. The left’s sole objective is to make Trump the Republicans’ 2024 presidential nominee. He’s already lost three election cycles for the GOP — why not make it four?

DeSantis is trashed for even the possibility that he may ask for a contest to determine the best conservative rather than automatically anointing one.

Desantis is called the nonconservative by the camp supporting the man who waves the LBDFKDLFDLFLFLFDKKLFLLSFKKLFD flag and collaborated with every ‘deepstater’ in the book.

Trump supporters openly brag they will throw the election to Bidump if anyone but Trump is nominated.

That is not conservatism that is supporting trump over conservatism.

“hypothetical” is the key word in this situation...

Learn to read English and apply proper grammar.

"Former President Donald Trump gained ten points of support among Republicans since his arrest on Tuesday, expanding his lead over Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), according to a hypothetical Republican primary poll."

Hypothetical refers to a primary matchup between President Trump and DeSantis, not the poll itself.

“DeSantis never should have waffled on Ukraine. He listened to the GOPe and it hurt him way more than he knows. The base has had its’ fill of that rat money laundering op and it was obvious the party got to him.”

There are posters/commenters here who claim they’re die-hard Trumpers and yet drool at the prospect of continuing the war in Ukraine. Are they part of the “base”?

Your problem is that you are purposefully ignoring key points about DeSantis

DeSantis' record in congress declares him to be a Globalist and more in the GWB Camp of Republicanism.

Add in the fact that it is the GOP-E and Globalists that have lined up behind DeSantis, and are financially supporting him, and his recent flip-flop from a pretty good position on Ukraine, and his childish behavior talking about Trump, and you have a scenario of "Where there is smoke there is fire" with respect to DeSantis actually be a Globalist / GOP-E Trojan Horse.

I predict a big shake up after the debate and Vivek will close the gap on Desanctimonius. There is a way to challenge Trump without turning to all his biggest enemies and critics(the very deep state that needs to be destroyed)

“DeSantis is trashed for even the possibility that he may ask for a contest to determine the best conservative rather than automatically anointing one.”

Then GTFO of this site, because candidates are ALWAYS trashed during Primary Season here. We draw the line at people here who TRASH OTHER Freepers, by claiming, in this case, that Trump is a ‘personality cult’ and implying that’s the only reason people support him.

And by the way, given your ‘interesting’ posting history and hatred of Trump supporters, I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve been assigned to this site.

“ Yeah, cause no matter who wins the gop nomination, they’ll get the Trump treatment.”

Yes they will. However, they may be less likely to give the opposition free material to use against them the way Trump continually does.

Yea, the Ukraine waffle was a big deal. Not just the position but it showed he I’d not the type of guy who will endure and hold controversial positions in the same way Trump does. That is more telling than even the position itself.

Lol the protrump camp trashes other Freepers way more than I have. If you’re so confident in Trump go ahead and ask for an apology when he’s sitting in the Oval office in 2025 and I’ll happily give it.

“Lol the protrump camp trashes other Freepers way more than I have.”

Then give us examples that come close to your claim about Trump voters.

If not than please leave, as your posting history gives you away.
