Why wouldn’t they? Don’t they still get federal money?
Even a little is too much.

When CBS News reached out to Twitter's press contact to clarify why NPR had received this label, Twitter responded with an automated poop emoji.

A media company doesn’t have to be ‘state owned’ to be labeled as such, and should be labeled state-controlled, which NPR is, and CNN/MSNBC/CBS/NBC/ABC are all in the same category.

My local NPR broadcasts from our **state** university. It is supported by the **state** university and is part of their audio/visual student arts program.
NPR gets plenty of tax money from our state.

I understand that he had more important things going on but, IIRC, during his first campaign DJT said he’d remove funding for NPR — and PBS, maybe.
This is something our new Congress probably could do in a week’s time. DEFUND NPR.

Republican governors, even competent ones like De Santis, have done little or nothing to curb leftist power and intolerance at state universities. NPR is only the tip of the iceberg relative to leftist in state universities.
Lower tuitions than private universities and an emphasis on big time college sports are major reasons why public universities have a strong constituency. Why, in an era of hostility to masculinity, do universities promote macho sports like football and basketball? Because they are often profitable, and even if not, promote public support for the universities.
To: rlmorel
NPR has been funded by Fed money since its inception and is run by the homo lobby.

I worded it the way I did because I had heard their government funding had been reduced. As far as I was concerned, even one penny was too much for me.
But when you think of it, it is like everything else-they probably openly misled people about reductions in funding. I’ll be their funding increases haven’t gone up as much as they want, not that their funding has been reduced.
It has been a source of anger to me for decades that these people got taxpayer money.

Not quite the same. FOX still has a very different cast and a set of contributors who don't follow the democrat/communist party line.
