Former President Donald Trump will not be put in handcuffs when he turns himself in next week, his attorney confirmed to The Post on Friday.
Lawyer Joe Tacopina confirmed the news in a text while also giving a round of interviews promising that Trump is now “ready to fight” — with “zero” chance he’ll buckle and seek a plea deal.
“The president will not be put in handcuffs,” the attorney also told ABC News’ “Good Morning America” — while not ruling out a perp walk or a mugshot.
“I’m sure they’ll try to get every ounce of publicity he can from this thing,” he said of the Manhattan prosecutors, led by District Attorney Alvin Bragg, behind the historic charges.
“As far as mugshots, perp walk — I’m sure they’ll try to make sure they get some joy out of this by parading him.

Exactly. Trump’s a presidential candidate, he can say whatever he wants to say in the context of the political campaign, and any attempt by the judge to “gag” him should result in the judge being impeached by Congress for violating the 1st Amendment.
President Trump should bring his own handcuffs.
He should bring his own cuffs. If AOC can fake the cuffs, he can SURELY bring his own.
The best thing Trump could do is be put in handcuffs. There are a lot of good, honest people left in this country. They will not stand for it. It could start a war if the f***ing lefties start bullying a former president around. It could get ugly. And that may not be a bad thing the way this sh*thole country is now. Just sayin’.
Trump truly is a Christ like figure, no on has been persecuted like he has. He’s truly full of grace and virtue to not go ballistic right now on these made up charges.
A phalanx of 1 million patriots should surround Mara Lago and refuse to allow Trump to be physically taken into custody at all. There is no need for it whatsoever and every reason to accord him the courtesy of allowing all processing to take place remotely and privately.

The left has long had a wet dream of Trump being arrested and fingerprinted with copies of his mug shot adorning the walls of their houses like pictures of Kim jong-un in North Korea. The old adage of be careful what you wish for very much applies here. The crazed loathing of all things Trump that has become almost a religion with the left will be their undoing. All but the most insane and the few who still watch CNN will see this indicment for what it is...a political vendetta against Trump. Even the do called moderates will be disgusted. If Trump is to be pilloried for these non crimes, how much should Biden and his family’s utter corruption be punished?
If he does any merchandise with his mug shot, I will buy! I would LOVE to have a mug with his mug shot on it. I’ll buy them for Christmas presents, for all my lib friends, cause you KNOW this shit is gonna blow up in their faces, sooner or later.
