Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Thursday called for calm heads to prevail after the Manhattan District Attorney’s office indicted former President Trump in relation to hush money payments made to an adult film actress Stormy Daniels during his 2016 campaign.

“Mr. Trump is subject to the same laws as every American. He will be able to avail himself of the legal system and a jury, not politics, to determine his fate according to the facts and the law,” Schumer said in a statement on Thursday night.

I would believe the statement if the people on the Epstein list were identified and prosecuted.

Speaking of prosecuting someone, I listened to an interview with someone who had been an inmate in the facility where Epstein died. He said it would be impossible to commit suicide the way the press described. Prosecution of the guards who were on duty was quietly dropped.

The people who control the GOP hate you.

I realize that, which is why I am changing my voter registration from republican to non-affiliated.

Let’s turn that around and say: Every American is subject to the same laws as Donald Trump is.

That is, everyone, at the drop of a hat, can have FISA warrants pulled on them, have a counter-intelligence operation run against them, can be sued by DAs from multiple states, can have their associates forced to take plea deals when they don’t provide evidence to incriminate you, etc., etc., etc.

I’m at the point of saying “Why Bother?”, voting isn’t going to solve this.

I agree, when your own party throws down the weapons they have in Congress, it's over.

Then Schumer would agree that he should be indicted for threatening a sitting President?

Says the guy whose party engineered a frame campaign against a sitting president and spent millions on investigations that couldn’t find squat. Whose destroyed the image of the FBI as an agency that caught criminals instead created the current one of framing Americans for political crimes. The party whose stooges are giving billions to inept and corrupt bankers “ for the greater good”. Who are adding 87000 IRS agents as agents of political persecution, the storm troopers of the new one party state. The party that is destroying the dollar as the global medium of exchange so that they can issue new “electronic money” which will never be in control of the person who actually worked to earn it.
In other words the party of thievery, lying, and corruption whose goal is generational control of America.

That is a frightening statement, that anyone can be singled out for legal targeting. Just like East Germany in the 70s.

Did you really think we want those laws observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them to be broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against... We’re after power and we mean it... There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that’s the system, Mr. Reardon, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.
Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged

The effective bottom line is that there is no law. The tyrants have seized the law as their principle weapon

But, if there is no law, then there is no law protecting the tyrants

In America, the party in power jails its political opponents.

That's the very definition of a Banana Republic.

If 2020's "elections" didn't do it, the arrest of Legit President Trump eliminated any moral authority the United States of America once had re: free and fair elections.

There is no turning back from this point forward. Russia, China, North Korea, Iran and others can now say we have zero credibility where elections are concerned. And they'll be right.
