I’ve been listening to a history of the Spanish Second Republic, which was essentially overthrown by the leftists through the use of violence, threats, manipulation of election results, refusal to abide by the laws of the game, and demonization of anyone who even mildly disagreed with them. Oh - and they had the original Antifa, the anarchists, going around committing acts of violence against conservatives, working with the Communists (who were directly controlled by the Comintern in Russia), and provoking moderate leftists into increasing extremism because the moderates were afraid of suddenly being targeted as enemies themselves.
It was inevitable at that point that there would be a civil war, because while much of the right and the centrists had been very conciliatory and hoped that sweet reason would prevail, never even using the legal or policy weapons at hand, at some point under these provocations, the center simply will not hold.
The weakening of our Constitution and our adherence to it and its vision has been a long time coming, mostly because of the weakening of our educational system through Marxist infiltration starting in the 50s and 60s, but Dov Fischer is right: Obama was the one who we have to thank for putting in motion the final phase of this demolition of our fundamental bases as Americans.
