Jason Chaffetz Goes OFF on ‘Absolutely Horrific!’ Trump Sitdown With Hannity: ‘Worst Interview I’ve Seen’ Him Do
Mediaite via MSN ^ | 28 Mar 23 | Colby Hall

As Fox News opinionators struggle with the WrestleManiacal battle between former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, it’s interesting to see where prominent conservatives on the cable news network land. Evidenced by searing criticism from former GOP Congressman turned Fox News host, we can take Jason Chaffetz out of the Trump column.

Trump returned to Fox News airwaves for a formal interview with host and political ally Sean Hannity for a Mar-a-Lago interview which aired Monday night. Some may have confused the Q&A with a Festivus celebration as there was no shortage of grievance airing, which has been Trump’s steez of late.

Fox & Friends brought on a panel of conservatives to review the interview, which was largely predictable morning show pablum, but Chaffetz took his shot.

Brian Kilmeade asked his guest, “Jason, you said overall you thought President Trump did a very poor job in the interview. Why?”

PROGRAMMING NOTE: What follows may not be appropriate for hardcore Trump followers or anyone prone to use the term ‘RINO’ in their political critiques. Nevertheless, Chaffetz dropped a bomb:

I thought Sean Hannity did a good job. But I watched that and I thought, where is Donald Trump? I voted for Donald Trump twice. I have defended him countless times. I thought he was horrific. I think that was the worst interview I’ve seen the president do. He was whining. He was complaining. He played the victim card. Time and time again. And then after that, he complained that, you know, somebody had endorsed was now running against him. And I. I thought he was absolutely horrific. He’s the former president of the United States. Act like it. He didn’t in that interview.

“I feel the same way....this is not the Trump from 2016.”

First off, let me say that I WATCHED the whole thing.

This was quintessential Trump. He looked GREAT! Hasn’t aged a day! SHARP AS A TACK! (unlike say Biden)

Stormy Daniels? Hannity, GIVE IT A REST!

Sean, why is your face so fat?

I can’t recall, did Hannity use his favorite word, besmirched”?

Hannity is an ASS!

His endorsement of McCarthy and Ronna McDaniel? Those are swamp creatures.

He brought Col Douglass MacGregor into his administration and people like you are still recoiling in horror.

A conspiracy theory about a conspiracy against Trump by so-called conservatives? Well I never!

I don’t think Trump should be upset about someone running for President. Let the voters decide. I agree that they should all be focusing and hammering away at Biden’s poor performance.

Wrong. Hannity is totally owned by FOX and Rupert. He will do as he is told to do.

Most people do there if they still want those big paychecks. That is why I dumped FOX and watch about a half hour of Tucker once in a while.

The warning that no one who is disloyal will serve in his administration is the most silencing statement Trump can make now.

Oh please, he just wants people to line up behind him, nobody ever gets blackballed with Trunp. He hired Omarosa for chrissakes and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he hired her again.

When one is cornered, the corner better come out swinging. He “whined” , They bugged my offices. Well, they did, and he was right. He was running for the Presidency, and someone had the nutz to plant bugs. Darn right he better swing and hit hard.

I think the whole interview was a set up by FOX. As soon as it was over, right on time. their pundits were spouting their canned Paul Ryan written lines about how bad the interview was. Horrible tools with zero integrity. The type of people that have sold their souls for money and fame. Unwatchable.

I agree. But Hannity has claimed to be a personal friend of Trump.

Fox did not put words in Trumps’s mouth.

100%.

Hannity is the media side of the Lindsey Graham political position. He's not on Trump's side, nor that of MAGA.

Louis that is as eloquent a defense of DJT and his current vibe as I can imagine. You wrote it so I can’t top it. We’ll leave it at that. Bravo!

“Let’s do this and skip the money quote “And then after that, he complained that, you know, somebody had endorsed was now running against him.”
So Chafitz joins the GOPeers pushing deSantis as their candidated and trashing Trump. They are all tools.”

Why did Trump endorse someone if he was so bad? Because Trump endorsed DeSantis, does that mean DeSantis is not allowed to run?

That’s the thing with Trump. Its all about him. Its never about anything or anyone else but him. Damn the country. Damn trying to bring anyone together and end the petty squabbling. Nope. At the end of the day its all about Donald Trump and nothing else.

Yeah, it seems like Trump endorses a lot of bad people....or he hires them.

It was Trump who turned on DeSantis first and tried to derail his re-election in Florida because all the buzz about DeSantis for POTUS was a threat to Trump.

That is shallow.

The inflation was started by Trump, who signed the largest spending bill in US history in late 2020 because Trump was afraid to oppose it during a re-election year.

He only thought about himself, which is why Trump never spoke out against the lockdowns, masks, distancing and mandates.

In fact, Trump still pushes the deadly vaccines today because he wants credit for it, not because he has learned they are not safe.

Either Trump’s multiple nemesis are being exposed!……or they’re playing us

Both, and we're letting them play us along. The are too many in the GOP side who want Trump to be a Messianic political second coming.

Oh gee. I didn’t know that. They did put them in Hannity’s mouth.
