NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – At least four people are dead, including the shooter, following an “active shooter” situation at a school in Green Hills.
The Nashville Fire Department said the incident happened at Covenant School located at 33 Burton Hills Boulevard. Metro police reported that officers engaged the shooter, who is dead. A spokesperson with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt confirmed to News 2’s Kendall Ashman that three children were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds, but have died from their injuries.
Hospital officials also said two adults were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and have died from their injuries.

Nashville is a wide open town. Spent some time with better half there and we were happy to leave town. Police cars had rainbow painted on the police cars. That alone spoke volumes.

If they know the person is a former student, then they know the name of this perp. They have a duty to report the name, which they aren’t doing. It’s been long enough to notify the next of kin. I think they are waiting to scrub the social media from this perp.

I don’t think there’s a stigma about getting help anymore. In fact, it’s in vogue to announce every psychological disorder one may have.
Perhaps the method of treatment has changed / depending on the practice. Or it is unaffordable.
It is criminal violence, not gun violence. Do you refer to traffic deaths as auto violence? Airplane crash as airplane violence? Accidental death from sleeping pill overdose as pill violence? The list goes on but you can probably follow along with the theme. There are three guns within two steps of my desk right now. Even a scary black semiautomatic.223 with an 18 inch barrel, scope, and foregrip with a pop out bipod - which you probably call an assault rifle. None of those guns have ever harmed a soul or been violent, even the scary black one. In fact, those lazy guns are about as far from violence as you can get. They just sort of hang out all day doing absolutely nothing. Hell, I don’t think they have even moved in more than two months.

Yeah, pretty obvious that this may be a “protest shooting.”
Wonder if the shooter had children and possibly tried to get them enrolled and was rejected. Just a thought, but this shooting seems very personal.
