NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – At least four people are dead, including the shooter, following an “active shooter” situation at a school in Green Hills.
The Nashville Fire Department said the incident happened at Covenant School located at 33 Burton Hills Boulevard. Metro police reported that officers engaged the shooter, who is dead. A spokesperson with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt confirmed to News 2’s Kendall Ashman that three children were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds, but have died from their injuries.
Hospital officials also said two adults were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and have died from their injuries.
“Something has to be done.”
How about not allowing our schools to be such soft targets?
I would be interested in her background, any previous meetings with the law?
The guns are the tool. She obviously had issues, and that is where the "fix" needs to be directed.
I still see no issue or reason to go on the gun control tirade, to exact punishment on others who choose to exercise their God given right to arm themselves.
Will be interesting to see what shakes out, and what gets coverage, vs what gets filed into the never see again files.

Well if she was the type to shoot up a school there were probably plenty of reasons why they canned her if that is the case!!
I lost my dad to suicide (self-inflicted gunshot). I have NEVER called for gun control.

Hate to burst your bubble but MOST if not all mass shooters have had some level of criminal involvement but are not charged due to mental issues. Many are referred to social workers, psych counseling but were are on “law enforcement radar”.
That’s unusual. But, society is breaking down targeting both men and women.

What is a coherent solution? What is THE ONLY positive and successful solution?
That would be having a justice system that prioritizes and slams the existing laws down HARD on CRIMINALS that commit GUN CRIMES. As it stands in this country, the justice system does not prosecute violent criminals who commit gun crimes in any way according to EXISTING LAWS or that benefit the safety of society so to DETER other CRIMINALS from committing gun crimes.

I would blame a system that allows the person to get the gun.
Hey Guy, you just said with certainty that it’s a female. I asked how you knew that. The only thing we have is a statement from government officials and school officials and the media. All three of which have a gigantic track record of calling troubled young males female. I just asked if you had further information that confirmed that was an actual female without a penis. Until then it’s an even bet. I was hoping you had a photo or something, or a positive identification. Until we have that nobody can really know, and it’s an open possibility that it’s probably a male.
