Even though Congress established it, and it has always relied in part on taxpayer funding, NPR makes no secret about its political biases: It is a mouthpiece of the Democrat party and accepts unquestioningly all aspects of leftist ideology. That’s why it was wonderful to read that NPR is facing a significant budget decline and has laid off 100 people.

Rick Steves should bail them out.

A Republican Congress cannot be taken seriously as long as it continues to fund NPR and PBS.

There was a brief time when NPR tried to become more balanced right after Newt took over the House and threatened to zero out the CPB budget, but it didn't last very long.
In the pre-internet days I'd listen to NPR Morning Edition in the AM, Rush at Noon, and G.Gordon Liddy in the PM. I like to have all sides of an issue. Back then NPR was left leaning, but not openly hostile to conservative views.
I can't stand listening to NPR these days because all of their programs sound like The View in their condemnation of anything even remotely right of "moderate."

Maybe they’ll go bankrupt and apply for foodstamps - so we can all have a good laugh.

Hey, IF we could get the rest of the Federal Govt to do this, it would be a good start.

Speaker McCarthy, Let’s help them by removing federal funding. Let them register as a part of the Democrat party who can fund them directly.

Even Garrison Keilor became too leftie for me in the latter years. Click and Clack any day, though.

Pretty much the same for me. I catch a few minutes of Morning Edition most weekdays but usually turn it off after the headline news.

Keilor was discarded by the Left for not being woke enough... He is firmly on the homo bandwagon, which is an immediate disqualifier for me. He had been more vocal about it in the last several years of the show.
