There was a brief time when NPR tried to become more balanced right after Newt took over the House and threatened to zero out the CPB budget, but it didn't last very long.

In the pre-internet days I'd listen to NPR Morning Edition in the AM, Rush at Noon, and G.Gordon Liddy in the PM. I like to have all sides of an issue. Back then NPR was left leaning, but not openly hostile to conservative views.

I can't stand listening to NPR these days because all of their programs sound like The View in their condemnation of anything even remotely right of "moderate."

Pretty much the same for me. I catch a few minutes of Morning Edition most weekdays but usually turn it off after the headline news.
