“There is no benefit to Chicoms trying to take over Taiwan. It’s insane and even they know it.”

Do not apply western value systems to the Han Chinese culture.
They will sacrifice anything to save “face”.
They believe they are the center of the universe.
The symbol for their country means Center people.

Well, I am certainly no cheerleader for Ukraine conflict.

But in this instance, I must vehemently disagree with you.

Allowing China to gain that expertise would absolutely be a death blow to the world, as China would possess a severe grip upon controlling the world.

The really stupid thing was to allow this technology to leave this nation in the first place. If it looks as if China will succeed in taking Taiwan then destroy it without hesitation.

Might actually be the best thing to happen, so that it can be brought back to the U.S.

It’s happening, but it takes time. TSMC is building a huge facility in north Phoenix which will open in 2025. Many engineers and technology are already here for the setup phase.

If the Taiwanese plants really needed to be destroyed (and if CCP agent Biden would ever authorize it) there may be a delay in the availability of the high-end chips, but we would have full production online in the US long before anyone in the rest of the world could match it.

I think that was the major part of the CHIPS Act, or whatever it was called. It was one of the only smart things Pelosi did. Getting the chips made in the US is a priority, but obviously it will take a LOT of tax money to get going.

IF Xi decides to take Taiwan by force there will be pain on all sides but the most pain will be suffered by China.

We will take a hit for doing it, but we must pledge to cease all trade with China, expel all Chinese CCP kids at our universities, seize all Chinese investments in America, AND forfeit all T-bills they purchased (I believe its around 800 billion).

We must demand the same from Europe, Australia, Korea, and Japan.

It will be expensive but pledge no interest loans for American companies to move production here to the US, strengthen our trade ties within our own hemisphere and with friendly Asian nations, and pledge to leave both NATO and the UN along with removing all funding for both if our wishes are not honored.

Yeah, it sucks. However, it guarantees a rapid collapse of the CCP within China AND it is cheaper than a full blown war with China.

We can also destroy their trade corridors and the pipelines that will be taking oil and gas into China.

Win. The CCP has a LOT of problems right now and the shock to their economy will cause it to implode. It is probably going to implode before ours anyways. They can’t even feed themselves without “trade”.

I am sick and tired of China and it is ridiculous that we continue to do any business with them at all. There will be economic disruption with a “war” no matter what so what are we waiting for and why do we keep funding the CCP?

I have nothing against the Chinese people whatsoever, but I have no use for the CCP. The Chinese people are not very happy with them either.

Put this pledge in writing and let the oligarchs within the CCP take care of Xi. He is a madman if he does this and everyone is afraid to call his bluff. Japan and Australia will be with us, India, Vietnam, and South Korea will likely join us too.

I personally think we could tip them over right now if we would speed up the decoupling. It will be painful economically in the short-term, but it would benefit us greatly in the future.

Taiwan is NOT a threat to the Chinese people and never has been. It is a threat to the CCP because its citizens enjoy freedom and prosperity without having to pay tribute to mobsters with red stars.

More like about 40% to 50%. They have sub 10nm processes which are very advanced.

Great news, I wasn't aware that this development taking place.

Perhaps they can speed up the construction, without cutting corners. That would help also.

I heard something about a facility being built in Tennessee, as well. Well, I think it was Tennessee.

And remember some of those Taiwanese plants are physically located in mainland China.

If china invades Taiwan say GOODBYE to America. Without chips we are sunk.

My paranoia wonders if this the the planning of the One World Order people. Make us dependent on chips for everything then take them away,

Maybe some auto maker ought to have the balls to make an old fashioned engine and car. Even my old Ford Maverick made 29 mpg without the crap in it.

My Mandarin language Chinese instructor was a Defector back in the 60’s when you could not easily leave China.
I don’t think he liked the ChiComs and he was VERY traditional Chinese.

“No surprise after they blew the Nordstream pipeline into Germany. The US under Biden is out of control, completely corrupted and bent on destruction.”

Biden vows U.S. will ‘bring an end’ to Nord Stream 2 pipeline if Russia ...
Feb 7, 2022WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden on Monday said the U.S. would “bring an end” to the Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipeline if Russia invades Ukraine.

Victoria Nuland, in the fullness of time: “Senator Cruz, like you, I am, and I think the administration is very gratified to know that Nordstream II is now, as you like to say, a hunk of metal at the bottom of the sea.”

Brandon’s administration wants to be seen as having blown up Nordstream II.

Well if they got control of them, they would make sure that they could run them. It's an easy task for a communist thug regime to get workers to comply with their demands to teach them. But it's probably the technology behind them, more so than the knowledge of running them.

Unlike Ukraine, Taiwan is of vital interest in regards to national security.

Destroy them if need be. We have the knowledge to recreate them. Also helps to return them where they should have stayed all along, in the U.S.
