Brilliant idea-not
So we buy them from China.
That's the only product that keeps Taiwan alive.
If China could run them, they would build them in Beijing. But they can’t.
Maybe instead destroy something in…..I don’t know.., China?

So you support Chicoms?
90% of our chips are made there. Ya see the problem.
Yes. Best idea is to stop it by recognizing Taiwan and planting troops, ships, etc…
Like before Carter took it all away.
Or just say — enough nonsense.
There is no benefit to Chicoms trying to take over Taiwan. It’s insane and even they know it.
China needs to be ‘reset’ back to the 1950s.
If you’re posting it then it’s immediately suspect.
It would be better if we brought the facilities here to the US.
“So you support Chicoms?”
Judging from his posting history I’d posit that he supports anyone who is NOT the United States.
Ditto the US.
> It would be better if we brought the facilities here to the US. <
You’d think so. But building a microchip plant might endanger some local snail.
Then there’s the carbon footprint.
So no can do.
We're dependent on Taiwan because the ruling class has been making war on us for a while.
In the US case we do it with education reform. In China’s case we do it with Uranium.
Lame idea.
Yeah. Thanks.
A lot of these guys around.
You might find Louis-Vincent Gave interesting:
“On the topic of Taiwan, Gave offers yet more positive predictions. He argues that an invasion of Taiwan will never happen for a number of reasons, above all topographical ones: “Taiwan is a natural fortress”. A hundred miles of sea stand between it and China, and it has mountains reaching 12,000 feet and only three beaches to choose from. “Are you going to try to do this with an army, a navy and an air force that is completely untested? No, there’s no way.”
In fact the prospect of any military action in China seems very unlikely to our guest. Two decades of the one-child policy has instilled in the Chinese a particularly strong aversion to war: “When you have one child, you don’t send them to war. No way. And so that’s one of the particularities of Chinese society that make a military action, in my mind, very unlikely.”

Anyway, in addition to the above, China supposes it will get Taiwan back without firing a shot, it will just take some time for the politics to shake out in their favor.
