Brazile: DeSantis ‘Running on a 1950s America’ Will Benefit Biden
Breitbart ^ | 03/26/2023 | Pam Key

Democratic strategist Donna Brazile said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who has not announced a presidential bid, is “running on a 1950s America,” which she believes will benefit President Joe Biden.

Brazile said, “Joe Biden this Tuesday will start to Invest in an American tour where he’s going to spend the next two or three weeks along with his members of the cabinet and the vice president. Once she returns from Africa, they’re going to begin to talk directly to the American people on the anxieties and concerns that everyday Americans have.”

So the GOP is now taking advice from the Clinton inner circle?
The honest truth is they want to run against Trump.
Also the honest truth is with the MSM-DNC now controlling the internet messaging, its unlikely any GOP can win in the near future.

1950s America

Just a code phrase for "Jim Crow".

She is not picturing suburbia, or Leave it to Beaver, or nuclear families, or post WWII economic strength. For her, none of that stuff represents the 1950s -- that stuff isn't significant enough to even think about.

For her, the Republicans want to wind back the clock to the 1950s to revive Jim Crow (a Democrat policy) so that black people can be deprived of all rights and basically put back in chains. You know: The Good Old Days that all Republicans long for. [/spit]

I personally hate 1950s America more than Donna does. I prefer 1890s America. 😊

I was born in the 70’s, so I wasn’t there for the 50’s. Except for Jim Crow, the 50’s seem like a great time in American history! But the Democrat policy of Crow is gone and never coming back. So having the 50’s again without Crow sounds awesome!

However, the social damage resulting from LBJ’s ‘Great Society’ is irreversible. So the prosperity, morality, and optimism of the 50’s is not coming back. Sadly.

“One of these days I want to work on a project that doesn’t involve a disaster,” she said later in her Salt Lake City speech,

She might consider just getting out of politics altogether to put distance between her and the progs but it is probably far too late for that.

She needs to admit that all the bad things from the 50s were caused by Democrats.

RE: As for race relations, Eisenhower began desegregation.

So you were on a roll but decided to change the subject from happy stuff.😉 1950s....

Really, without it we could walk to a park and have a pleasant time with our family. Safely.

A child could go out to play or walk two blocks to be with other kids. Without being pulled into a van and sold to an online pedophile by auction.

A troubled boy might be caught smoking a tobacco cigarette in the boys’ room but get straightened out and told to shape up by his still married male and female parents. No fentanyl or heroin in grade school and middle school raids by police.
Go deliberately to NY Greenwich Village for narcotics; it didn’t come to you thanks to Latin gangs and China.

Cars were proudly big and had fins to show fun and self-esteem. Made in America and benefiting workers here.

What you bought in stores benefited the community, the state you lived in and the US workers and economy, not China.

If you voted it was honestly counted unless you lived in Chicago, Detroit or Harlem and Watts.

That has been the Dems strategy with DeSantis since he first ran for Governor. They tried to portray him as a racist. Didn’t work so far.

Even a 1990s America didn’t have Drag Queen Story Hours for young children.

But the Democrats will be have half the country believing that it did.

Yeah, Donna - only in the 1950s did people oppose having kids go to strip shows or have access to pornography in their school libraries...

Of course some will say, yeah it was great...for White people.

To that I would retort, yes, but at least back then blacks tended to be family-oriented, before Welfare destroyed the black family.

Our buying power was lightyears better than now. Average Joes working average jobs, could afford houses without being “house poor”.

I wish the GOP would turn the argument around and show people how much better the 50’s were.

You also didn't need as much "stuff" back then.
