Two new polls from a top Republican polling firm — provided exclusively to Axios — find Florida Gov. DeSantis is running more competitively with former President Trump in Iowa and New Hampshire than he is faring in national surveys.
Driving the news: The surveys, conducted by Public Opinion Strategies from March 21 to 23 for an outside client (not a candidate or super PAC) found DeSantis leading Trump by eight points (45%-37%) in a head-to-head matchup in Iowa and tied with Trump (39%-39%) in New Hampshire.

As soon as all of the usual suspects lined up behind DeSantis it demonstrated what side they think he is on, and while I think the usual suspects are evil and truly wish the absolute worst for our nation, I trust them to put their money on the guy who is going to look out for their interests.

This was not an Axios or Comcast poll.
There have been multiple polls showing this for DeSantis and also multiple polls showing Trump up in these same states. Taken over the same period.
They’re obviously garbage and not reliable.

Jeb was about as uninspiring as you can get, but he just assumed people would naturally flock to him if he destroyed all of his other opponents besides Trump...this had the effect of pushing more people towards Trump. He successfully damaged the standing of other candidates, to be sure, but they didn’t go to him, they went to Trump. These voters weren’t looking for an alternative to Trump, they were looking for an alternative to Jeb Bush - so by destroying these candidates, he actually delivered more support to Trump. Ironic, isn’t it?
The poll says 45-37. That is above 40%.
Not that it matters...polls aren't worth much.
I’ve been reading (not sure if true) Ron DeSantis has the backing of the Bush family and Karl Rove.
I like DeSantis. I’d like to see a healthy primary season. Discuss the issues from a few different perspectives.
If the Bush support of DeSantis is indeed true, that would be a big no starter for me.

It’s not difficult to see that Axios usually favors the left, but sometimes they leak out a little truth (perhaps accidentally). I’m not sure about these polling outfits, and it’s very early.
You definitely are searching for my every word. My gosh to think I mentioned leaving for dinner and you had to urgently find any replies I did before leaving at 7:30. I wrote at 7:00 I was leaving. You got so concerned that you obsessively searched for anything I wrote in those 30 minutes. You even found a different thread. Wow.
