100 percent of California vegans own EVs or wish they had one. 0% of California residents who have barbeque for breakfast do not have EVs or wish they had one.

Are you sure “tripled”?

From what I’ve read (not researched), it is that if all cars in all of the USA were to be electric, then electricity consumption would increase from 25% to 40%.

I could assume that may mean for California it would be 50% more, but not triple. Where did you get that “triple” from?

I didn't realize the EV mandate has compliance stages. How does that work?

From the article:

Under a state mandate enacted last year, 35% of cars sold in California, beginning with 2026 models, must be zero-emissions, ramping up to 68% in 2030 and 100% in 2035.

IRT to my post 26 an older Calmatters article suggests how the enforcement might work.

https://calmatters.org/environment/2022/08/electric-cars-california-to-phase-out-gas-cars/

From the article:

“To ensure enforcement, state officials could penalize manufacturers that don’t meet their yearly percentages with hefty fines of $20,000 for every car they fail to produce in a given year, according to air board staff. Automakers that fail to meet those requirements would need to get credits from another manufacturer that already met their targets. Air board staff also assured the public that they could amend the regulation at any point to address lingering equity and compliance issues.”

An acquaintance bought an electric car, years ago. Now, no dealership will accept it as a trade in.

Who needs to buy an electric car in California, when you can just steal one, and get away with it.

They’ll just make Whiteys and Asians pay for the EVs that they give to the people who aren’t productive.

As if blacks can steal electricity for an EV, like how they can steal gasoline. They ain't buying EV's.

#25 In Calif now, the electric rates are .20kw to over .30kw on top of the much higher gas prices and natural gas.
