It's won't stop the ones called to do so.
Well it is the only Jewish State, and only 14 million or so Jews in the entire world. Can’t imagine they can afford to lose many.
well, there are 70,000 Zoroastrians left in the world (at one point they were the largest religion in the world that worshipped one god)
Secular Jews are still considered Jews. Buddhist Jews are still considered Jews. Atheist Jews are still considered Jews. Right now Messianic Jews usually aren’t. That may change at some point, but it hasn’t yet.
I’ll wait for those same legislators to propose legislation forbidding the teaching of I Slam.
Antichrists
I guess these two meshuggenah schlemiels don’t want foreign aid from the USA anymore. So be it if this errant law passes.
Not just the aid$$ but the tourists. I won’t go to Israel if they outlaw talking about or mentioning Christianity or Jesus. Would be dumb to do this.
But they will sho nuff take your money to tour the Holy Land
Are you presuming that a Messianic Jew is not a Jew? If so, that's not true. Jesus was a Jew. His disciples were Jews. I have Messianic Jewish friends - who have not stopped being Jewish. Neither Jesus or His Jewish disciples stopped being Jews. What distinguishes Jewish Believers from other Jews. They recognize and receive Jesus (Yeshua) as the Messiah. They do not deny the OT, their Jewish values or Jewish culture.
If Israel passes a law making it a crime for Christians to share their faith, the U.S. should respond by cutting off all U.S. funds and benefits flowing to Israel. Either Israel is a democracy that offers 1A type freedom and rights to individuals or it's a fake democracy that selectively criminalizes freedom of speech and expression. They can't have it both ways.
Jews who would persecute Christians would be wise to heed the advice of a 1st century Rabbi, who advised 1st century Sanhedrin who were persecuting Christians:
Gamaliel’s Advice:
"When the Sanhedrin Council members heard this, they were enraged, and they resolved to put the apostles to death. But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law who was honored by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a short time. “Men of Israel,” he said, “consider carefully what you are about to do to these men. Some time ago Theudas rose up, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men joined him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing. After him, Judas the Galilean appeared in the days of the census and drew away people after him. He too perished, and all his followers were scattered. So in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone. Let them go! For if their purpose or endeavor is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God.” 40At this, they yielded to Gamaliel. They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and released them. 41The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name. 42Every day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they did not stop teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ." - Acts 5:33-42
Just reading this article makes me feel unwelcome in Israel.
You spelled it wrong. It’s iSlime.
Judaism is the most Anti-Christian of all other religions. No, they don’t go around cutting heads off, but that hasn’t yet been expedient for them.....
Aid to Israel (90% of which is used to purchase U.S. weaponry) is subject to the Camp David Accords on 1978.
Egypt gets an equal amount, and their abominable treatment of Christians, especially Copts, is well-established.
I'd bet that feeling isn't limited to Israel.
I also doubt I’d be welcome in Russia where you live.
Despite their confusion, they are an important part of Israel's support in the US.
Evangelical Christians are the strongest supporters of Israel in America and probably in the world. I don’t know why Israel would want to alienate them.
