Former President Donald Trump went scorched earth on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis after he weighed in on his potential indictment in the Stormy Daniels case brought by prosecutors in New York.
Trump, in a post on Truth Social, raised questions about DeSantis’s sexuality and once again peddled his groomer smear against the Florida Republican who is seen as a potential presidential candidate in 2024.
“Ron DeSanctimonious will probably find out about FALSE ACCUSATIONS & FAKE STORIES sometime in the future, as he gets older, wiser, and better known, when he’s unfairly and illegally attacked by a woman, even classmates that are “underage” (or possibly a man!),” Trump seethed. ‘I’m sure he will want to fight these misfits just like I do!”
Trump also included a picture from an article suggesting the worst about DeSantis’s conduct with “underage” young people.
Trump’s scorched earth remarks came hours after DeSantis made snide comments about the former president while addressing the possibility Trump will be indicted this week over the Stormy Daniels hush money scandal.
“I don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star or to secure silence over some time of alleged affair. I just – I can’t speak to that,” DeSantis told reporters on Monday. “But what I can speak is that you have a prosecutor who is ignoring crimes happening every single day in his jurisdiction and he chooses to go back many, many years ago to try to use something about porn star hush money payments. You know, that’s an example of pursuing a political agenda.” **/

The final straw for me was when Trump attacked the 20 who were fighting against McCarthy for speakership. It was my final post on Truth Social telling Trump to %#WWS! The next day Bannon had Pedro Gonzalez stating exactly that. It was in spite of Trump that the 20 won concessions and that Trump was working against them.
Bannon had also stated that he had told Trump that he needed to get rid of Comey on day one or he’d be sorry. Trump listens to no one and hasn’t learned anything since. Trump is the old lady in the snake poems he recites!
Maybe neither should be supported in 2024. DeSantis, although a great Governor, IMO, is backed by Globohomo, and Trump seems preoccupied with beclowning himself.

The 2016 campaign was exhilarating, watching Trump roll all over those lightweights and defy his naysayers at every turn. That it culminated with reporter Martha Raddatz crying on-air in the wee hours of the morning as Trump denied Hillary Clinton the White House was perhaps the greatest political moment of my life.
Unfortunately for Trump, that would be the highlight of his presidency.
The next four years seemed to be one calamity after the next. Some of it was his own making. Most of it was that he allowed his enemies to clobber him mercilessly. How often I screamed at my TV, "DUDE!!! HIT BACK!!! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!"
He never would. He was a human punching bag.
2016 was an eternity ago. Today, he's a sad, broken man and the only person he seems capable of attacking is the most successful conservative governor in the country.
I’ll go with Ben Shapiro’s theory: Trump heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard maybe the grand jury was going to indict. They’re still hearing from at least one witness. He isn’t going to be arrested tomorrow and never was. You’d think folks would have learned from the bombshells, the tightening nooses, the beginning of the ends, and the walls closing in, that you wait until something happens before freaking out.
He grows tiresome. The threatened arrest and indictment is bogus. However Trump did pay hush money to a porn actress. “Shut up and go away.” money does not translate into “I’m guilty.” Doesn’t mean it was the best decision. Which to me is what DeSantis is commenting on. Not speculating on whether Trump was guilty but on whether he should have made the payment at all.

LOL...He spoke plenty to that...This seems to me to be a Praeteritio... rhetorical term for the argumentative strategy of calling attention to a point by seeming to disregard it. DeSantis evidently learned his lessons well at Harvard law. He would have been better served to take the higher road in this instance.
I was following in the Biblical footsteps of King Saul, who referred to his own son Jonathan as “Thou son of the perverse rebellious woman” (I Samuel 20:30 KJV) which in the original Hebrew is בֶּֽן־נַעֲוַ֖ת הַמַּרְדּ֑וּת ben-na-‘ă-waṯ ham-mar-dūṯ, which is modern terms is “you sonovab*itch!”
I was damning Trump’s similar action: DeSantis is who he is because Trump laid the foundation for populism, and DeSantis has been doing in Florida what Trump tried, and sometimes succeeded, in doing nationally. In short, DeSantis is the political son of Trump, yet Trump rips him to shreds when Trump’s real enemies are elsewhere. Trump is calling his political son an SOB instead of firing with both barrels at the power behind Bragg and the NY DA office, which is Soros, Obama, Biden, Hillary, and the rest of the Democrat dogs.

Because the three that you just mentioned accused Trump of non-consensual, possibly criminal behavior. Their allegations were more serious than what Stormy Daniels alleged. Stormy Daniel’s allegation was that they had consensual sex - not a crime. Timing was also likely a factor. Stormy Daniels made her allegation in October of 2016 - one month before the election. The Access Hollywood tape had come out at about that time. Those factors likely contributed to Trump’s willingness to pay her - something he rarely does. He was in the middle of a heated election whose outcome was uncertain. Paying Daniels $150,000 to go away probably made sense.

Because in 2016 we had someone who would finally fight for us. Trump was going to stand up to the deep state on behalf of the American people.
What happened is the deep state emboldened under President Trump. And what has happened is that since 2020, Trump is no longer fighting for us. He is now demanding we fight for him. You see it all over this thread.. “we need to RALLY AROUND President Trump.”
The script has been flipped. He is now a sad, bitter old man who demands that when he says jump, we all collectively say how high. And anyone who doesn’t is subject to his grade-school insults.

At this point it’s irrelevant whether or not there was an affair. The possible indictment is about covering up the hush-money payment, which no one seems to deny occurred.
