Trump Says He Will Cut Funding From Schools Teaching CRT and 'Transgender Insanity'

Former President Donald Trump said this week that if he becomes president again in 2024, he will cut funding from schools that are teaching children divisive curriculum such as Critical Race Theory (CRT) and transgender ideology.

“What they’re teaching in schools today is insane,” Trump said in remarks in Iowa. "I will immediately sign a new executive order to cut federal funding for any school that's pushing Critical Race Theory, transgender insanity, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children. They're children!"

“I said the other day I will bring back parental rights into our school system,” Trump added. “As president, I’ll fight to expand that right to every single state in America.”

According to a Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll released this month, the majority of Iowans support legislation restricting curriculum teaching about and sexual orientation gender identity ideology.

Other issues Trump spoke on included school choice and “breaking up” the U.S.Department of Education.

On the issue of COVID-19, Trump said that he “will not give one penny to any school that has a vaccine mandate or mask mandate from kindergarten through college.” Many colleges across the country implemented vaccine and booster mandates for students to attend classes.

So glad Trump reads DeSantis’s press releases, so he has a clue what to do.

Now, you’re talkin’!
This is a very good issue to hoist up high for public discussion. A lot of folks want to talk about it, but most of the media will not encourage such Un-PC manner of thinking.

So, you think Trump is following DeSantis's lead?

Trump was anti-woke before DeSantis got involved in it.

Right. Instead of Republicans fussing at each other, they should be talking about these kinds of things.

Quite the opposite.

DeSantis, the Trump Mini-Me, is constantly trying to catch up to what President Trump has already accomplished or stated.

Good, but not enough. He should go for the jugular:
1. ZERO federal funding for ANY SCHOOL for ANYTHING
2. Eliminate the Department of Education
3. Government is OUT of “loaning” money to people to go to college
4. Eliminate 100% of federal “mandates” on schools

Those three things would get us back to the sanity we had before the federal government got involved in education. Every single problem in education stems from the federal government sticking its GD nose where it doesn’t belong, just like so many of our nation’s ills.

Let the states, counties and towns figure out their own best approach to education.

Trump is a great salesman, find out what the people want and promise it to them.

It appears that DJT’s statements in the article are saying what he will do about these issues, not what he’s done. DeSantis has done these things in FL.

Yes! and Amen! To all but the last statement: "Let the states, counties and towns figure out their own best approach to education."

Better yet is to let the end consumers (students, parents, and maybe employers) find the best approach at least for college and trade school education.

Really? Because DeSantis fought this battle months ago.

And, keep in mind, even pointing out that DeSantis ALREADY did this months ago is comparing what DeSantis already did for Florida vs what Trump SAYS he’ll do, but didn’t when he was in charge.

I get it. Trump is playing politics and getting headlines. The policy should be to shutter the entire department of education and the elimination of every tax dollar spent across a broad number of federal agencies that go to education related things. States need to address failed education and groomer teachers by sending education dollars to parents in full instead of sending money to schools. Public schools need to be completely defunded. If parents want to spend money on public schools, we’ll that’s fine. It won’t last long when other education alternatives become available.

I had an idea the other day, which would be great for seniors. My grandson just turned five and my daughter is concerned about his education. If she directly received education dollars she could pay me to homeschool my grandson. I’d do it for free, but who couldn’t use a bit of extra cash? Imagine grandparents around the country, who are completely free of woke BS, CRT, transgenderism and so on teaching children that they truly care and love. It would change a generation children while putting groomer teachers and administrators out of work. It would strengthen families, and equally important, decades of experience and knowledge could be passed down to children. There’s no person with an education degree that’s able to match that.

Neither is perfect, but each enough to keep my vote from going to a third party. Both together, even better.

I not sure Big Orange even understands this, but he is essentially running for Governor of America.

No he won’t. He won’t get elected again. The democrats and Chinese will have PERFECTED fraud, possibly with the help of AI, so that a repugnican’t will NEVER win an election again. And he could have prevented this.
