The DeSantis administration is revoking the Hyatt Regency Miami's alcohol license after one of its facilities hosted "A Drag Queen Christmas" with minors present in the audience.

According to the complaint, "A Drag Queen Christmas" updated its advertising to say that the show contained "adult content" and was recommended for people 18 and up, unless accompanied by an adult.

The Department of Business and Professional Regulation filed a 17-page complaint Tuesday against the show's venue, the James L. Knight Center, which is affiliated with Hyatt. The department said performers were "wearing sexually suggesting clothing and prosthetic female genitalia," as well as simulating masturbation.

“Who attends such events?”

Lefties who want to virtue signal that they are more noble than their other leftie friends who didn’t attend, or didn’t drag their children along.

Does the law say no minors 🔞 or minors must be accompanied by an adult. And if the latter is true, we’re they accompanied by an adult. If that’s the case then I can not see how the establishment violated the law.

As for a parent who would bring thier kids to a show like this, that’s another matter. Anyone who subjects a child to this kind of perversion isn’t fit to be a parent.

I thought there were such laws and regulations, such as regulations on places such as strip joints, and adult movie and book stores.

It seems to me that these drag queen shows should be regulated in the same manner as pornography and strippers. Apparently they are not treated that way under existing laws and policies.

Just curious...are movies rated anymore? Does anyone keep kids out of raunchy movies? It seems that children have become fair game.

So California or New York should be able to yank the license of bars that play country music, or have MAGA performers?

Here’s where the media hypes it up. They are not having their license revoked because it was a drag show per sue, they are having it revoked due to “ lascivious exhibition” in front of children under the age of 16.

“ The department said performers were “wearing sexually suggesting clothing and prosthetic female genitalia,” as well as simulating masturbation.”

Could have had the same thing happen if a male and a female were grinding on each other.

“Unless a specific law was violated, Hyatt is a private business and can host these perverts as they choose.”

Yes they can; but they will not be serving legal alcohol. Not in Florida. Others with a liquor license might want to make a note of this when they contemplate inviting children into a bar.

If they can pass "laws" criminalizing those performances? Yes, they should. Let the citizens of those states deal with the culture there. Or overturn their governments. Maybe even by elections.

No point in delaying the inevitable. They won't tolerate us. And we should not tolerate them. No appeals to "being better than that" are meaningful.

Who knows what California might do.

I say California should yank the liquor license if they play country music while doing what they were doing in Florida.

I’d have to agree.

There are other violations more pertinent.

What type of parent would bring their kids to this?

Planners, participants, staff, and parents necks should be on the line here.

So if the Hyatt hosted a wedding reception where alcohol was served, no minors could attend.

Well, what’s with the parents that bring their kids to these exhibitions of perversity?

Hedonism is a cult. It seems right to the parents who are part of that cult, just like parents who are part of other cults teach those cults' ways.

The sooner we realize this is more of a spiritual war than a political war, the better off we are.

I would agree with that policy. No minors should be allowed to attend drag queen shows. The shows most certainly should not be permitted in a public library where children are invited to attend.

"Politics is downstream from culture". The laws we have, and follow are a consequence of the culture we accept. Every culture has behaviors which are not tolerated. Sexual grooming and exploitation of children should not be tolerated.
