Nearly 6,000 US public schools are employing guidance policies that block parents from knowing whether their child identifies as a different gender in the classroom — which could become federal policy if President Biden’s Title IX proposals are approved in May.
At least 168 school districts nationwide have rules on the books that prevent faculty and staff from disclosing to parents a student’s gender status without that student’s permission, according to a list compiled by the conservative group Parents Defending Education and shared with The Post.
More than 3.2 million students are affected by such policies in all kinds of districts — large and small, affluent and poor, urban and rural, red and blue — stretching from North Carolina to Alaska.
The non-comprehensive list includes two of the largest school districts in the country, Chicago Public Schools and Los Angeles Unified School District — along with other city jurisdictions like DC Public Schools, Baltimore City Public Schools, San Francisco Unified School District, Portland Public Schools, and Seattle Public Schools.
Districts from deep-blue university towns — Berkeley and Palo Alto, Calif.; New Haven, Conn.; Iowa City, Iowa; Ann Arbor, Mich.; Hanover, NH; Durham, NC; and Madison, Wis. — appear on the list, as do 11 districts in deep-red Idaho, 16 in purple Pennsylvania and seven in Virginia, where Republican Glenn Youngkin was elected in 2021 in part on a platform of giving parents a bigger say in their children’s education.

Keep sending the kids to public schools, and one day they’ll be herding you into camps.
"Gender status" is whether you have an inney or an outey.
The administrators of nearly 6,000 schools need to be convicted of violating parental rights and sentenced to be publicly flogged.
When Johnny comes home wearing pink lipstick and a tutu and has a tantrum if you don’t use the new name Johnette, it’s no secret any longer.
the schools, principals, and teachers are thus
in a CONSPIRACY to take children and lead them
to states that may induce psychiatric disease and death.
the schools, principals, teachers, judges, and enforcers
should be held responsible for every death, every suffering,
for their roles BEFORE THE FACT.
All involved are predators
“...are employing guidance policies that block parents from knowing whether their child identifies as a different gender in the classroom...”
It is time for the most massive civil rights demonstration in the nation’s history over that one concept. Nothing short of a total, complete, national strike, the kind that in the 19th century in Europe that brought down governments.
Any Florida schools on that list? I know a certain governor that would like to know.
“Nearly 6,000 US public schools hide child’s gender status from parents”
THANKFULLY, none of those schools are in Texas, as the WONDERFUL people who run our WONDERFUL public schools here told us that they will be the FIRST to let us parents know about it.
...hmmm, come to think of it, I don’t remember then putting it in writing - should I ask them too?
Naa, STUPID QUESTION, the public schools here are free, so why should I try to hold them to their promises - after all, I’m already coming out ahead, thanks to the FREE daycare!!!
Messing with someone’s kids like this will eventually lead to teacher best downs and murders. Just saying....
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Oh, but that is always someone else’s school. MY school is different. It would/could never happen there.
I’d bet the clothes on my back that every damn school in Massachusetts does so.
The list states it is not comprehensive, but for now - no Florida or Georgia schools are listed.
In Florida, all I can tell you is that any schools that are, are majorly keeping it on the down low, because of that very same Governor.
Prayers for strength,
Tatt
I’ve had leftists tell me that there is no conspiracy to sexualize children and indoctrinate them to become trans or gay.
Leftists also say that no one is trying to take my guns away.
I remember when parents would hide their gender status from schools.
And so many teachers sit on their low-IQ’d asses and do nothing. Never let children near anyone with an Ed degree.
I still think they should have cameras in classrooms, so parents can log in and watch live at ANY TIME during the day.
I’ve heard that that would be an issue re privacy for the kids. Focus the camera on the teacher; no need to see any kids.
War crimes trials please. And death penalties for those convicted.
I hate to tell you this, but the moment parents signed on to the public school standing in loco parentis, they surrendered a big chunk of their "rights.
I still disagree with the legalities of what the districts are doing. But that doesn't matter...EVERYONE needs to understand that the Educational Industrial Complex has framed this as an ethical issue, where siding with the student is most ethical
Based on this reasoning, all a teacher needs to do is 1) define a problems as an "ethical responsibility" (a situation with just one morally justified course of action), and 2) declare the problem is not an "ethical dilemma" (a situation for which there is more than one possible resolution, which can be justified in moral terms), and then 3) bypass the parents.
Legally, not surprisingly, The American Civil Liberties Union has also argued that it’s unconstitutional for public schools to reveal a student’s gender identity to others. Angry parents can put their child in private school or home-school them, said an A.C.L.U. lawyer, Jon Davidson, who is co-counsel for a school district that was sued by parents in Wisconsin. “Parents don’t have a constitutional right to dictate to schools how they should create an optimal learning environment for students,” he said.
By framing the destruction of the family as an collectivist ethical and legal issue, the left has guaranteed that this will be tied up in the courts long enough for them to run out the clock on this generation's childhood. By the time sanity prevails, a generation will be lost (again).
Remove your kids from school. NOW. Otherwise...
