Ukraine said Tuesday it had identified a soldier shot dead in a video that circulated widely across social media, sparking outrage and spurring officials to call for a probe.
"According to preliminary data, the deceased is a serviceman of the 30th separate mechanised brigade, Tymofiy Mykolayovych Shadura," the Ukrainian land forces said on Telegram, adding he had been missing since February 3 amid fighting in eastern Ukraine.

Thanks, and my first thought actually was how did they film this, considering that Russia doesn’t permit cell phones to be brought into combat zones? (they learned that lesson the hard way). So, to be true, it must have been filmed with consent of the higher ups with the intent to release it. Then one tries to find a motivation for that...not possible. TOTALLY FAKE!

Doesn’t answer my question. VIDEO is not proof! VIDEO can be faked! I assume you believe that the UKEs are as pure white as the virgin snow and would NEVER fake anything.
Any soldier in a time of war posting unapproved video would be in deep deep trouble. Hell most likely shot himself. UKEs must have one hell of a great wifi or cell phone coverage throughout the country to allow a Russian soldier to post to internet.

He may be standing in front of a trench shelter that has a cover consisting of plastic-bagged dirt, plus metal/plastic, plus some (3) ammo containers.
The cover appears to have been hit by a grenade (to the left from the Ukrainian soldier’s left shoulder).
Probably the Russians lost a comrade, and so, the Ukrainian soldier was “made to pay for that.”
And you're an idiot - Hollywood has never put out a single realistic war scene, ever. I have been in direct combat and I have seen a lot of men killed - that man was shot dead in front of that camera.
