Gov. Chris Sununu (R-N.H.), a potential 2024 contender, on Sunday predicted that former President Trump, who’s running for another White House term, won’t be the GOP’s nominee when it comes the presidential primaries.
“As far as a former President Trump, I think he’s going to run – obviously he’s in the race. He’s not going to be the nominee. That’s just not going to happen,” Sununu said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said last week that she expects the party will ask candidates participating on the GOP debate stage to sign a pledge saying they’ll support whoever eventually clinches the nomination – something Trump himself hasn’t firmly agreed to.

Thanks for that FReeper.
Chris Sununu is a Bush Republican party hack just like his dad.
“He’s pretty much admitting that the candidates THEY GIVE US to choose from - are SELECTED - by them.”
That used to be standard practice. Party bigwigs didn’t like letting average voters have a say in candidate selection. They still don’t.

That neverTrump idea didn't age well.
I predict Sununu will not be the nominee. Not gonna happen.
Trump will never be president. I can guarantee it!
The RNC and GOPe 2015-16.
Who pulled the stem on the Sununu all weather B. S. radial?
Just click your heels together and say it three times!
By either Eric or Donald, Jr., running as President, perhaps taking the Libertarian or Constitution Party nomination, that would ensure that a large number of Trump supporter could vote MAGA. That may result in Biden being reelected, or Gavin Newsom, Michelle Obama, or Kamala Harris being elected, but that threat could blow up the neo-con wing of the GOP, if someone like Mike Pence came in third in the popular vote. That would turn the Republican Party into a death knell, not unlike the Whig Party after 1852.
I know. He has said he might run for President. He has also said he would probably not support Trump. So if Pence runs, how can he take a loyalty pledge?
To be honest, I’m not sound enough in the full dynamics here
to comment on it.
I don’t understand how running his kids for other parties
adds to his chances.
If his kids get votes, those are going to be Trump (his)
votes.
He needs every one he can get.
Am I missing something?

Oh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up.
Me too!!
The same way that any other totalitarian government silences its opponents.
Sun-nuu-nuu.
So old old.
