There were a few apple trees when I moved here years ago but they were already old and starting to die. The only fruit trees left are three old pear trees and their fruit isn’t worth eating. The critters and birds enjoy eating them after they’ve fallen and fermented each summer. It’s fun watching them get drunk and stagger off. LOL

It would be a blast seeing drunk critters. That’s something I’ve never seen! LOL! The mess on the ground and the insects that are attracted is why I don’t like having fruit trees. Plus, we never get to eat the fruit, because birds beat us to them.

We have a fig tree. Hubby eats the fruit that hasn’t been ruined by birds. I don’t like figs.
