How Georgia Became Democrats’ Test Site For Their 2024 Private Takeover Of Election Offices
The Federalist ^ | February 21, 2023 | Shawn Fleetwood

Posted on 02/22/2023 8:26:17 AM PST by Twotone

After left-wing nonprofits poured tens of millions of dollars into their state during the 2020 election to change election operations to benefit Democrats, Georgia Republicans passed legislation in an attempt to prevent such malfeasance from happening again. Now, those same dark money groups are back to replicate their 2020 strategy for the 2024 contest and test the integrity of Georgia’s elections.

Earlier this month, DeKalb County, one of the state’s most populous localities and a Democrat stronghold, announced it had been selected to join the U.S. Alliance for Election Excellence and that the county’s commissioners had accepted a $2 million grant from the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL). Launched last year, the Alliance is an $80 million venture by left-wing nonprofits to “systematically influence every aspect of election administration” and advance Democrat-backed voting policies in local election offices.

Despite Georgia law (SB 202) prohibiting election superintendents or boards of registrars from directly accepting “funding, grants, or gifts” from private entities, DeKalb County election officials have found a way to skirt such provisions to acquire the Alliance’s funding.

In her remarks to Decaturish.com, a local Georgia news outlet, DeKalb Board of Registration and Elections Chair Dele Lowman Smith, a Democrat, admitted the application process for the Alliance grant was spearheaded by DeKalb’s finance department instead of the board of elections. According to Lowman Smith, this was done “since election offices are not allowed to receive grants directly.”

A copy of DeKalb’s Alliance grant application obtained by The Federalist confirms the county’s finance department spearheaded efforts to acquire the grant.

Why should any gov’t agency “receive grants”? They’re supposed to be funded by the taxpayers, & beholden to only the taxpayers. That should go for Fed funding as well. The Federal Gov’t should tax for ITS purposes & the states for theirs.

This is why Dems like BIG government, it allows for the kind of loopholes that make it easy to corrupt government officials which allows for fixed elections.

Yeah, and if you ask state officials to apply state laws to rectify stuff like this, they’ll get a kangaroo court grand jury to indict you.

With all these wetbacks flooding into our country, we haven’t a chance to win in 24.

Damned Skippy he’ll do nothing.

And I’m sure Raffensberger is applauding this.

Of course, this is the same Dekalb County that destroyed all of its ballots about 2 months after the 2021 runoff, so they couldn’t be looked at.

Neither Raffensberger nor Care did anything.

———————————————

The legislature had a chance to get things right. Initial legislation banned the 3 main fraud activities. Party leadership demanded that those clauses be removed and subsequently, Georgia still has: mail in voting, drop boxes and harvesting.

And just as importantly, Open Primaries.

The thieves in Georgia like things just the way they are

Interestingly, this all coincides with Kemp and his puppet masters doing their best to turn Georgia Blue by recruiting as many liberals to move here as they can.

I’ll be waiting for someone to tel how great Kemp is while not being able to mention anything other than covid

They’re especially skilled at finding loopholes and creating novel ways to their ends no matter the means. When they look at the rules they look at how to weaponizing them rather than follow them

Probably the best and fastest thing would be for the State Attorney General to ask for a restraining order. If the Dekalb officials are trying to use a technicality to get around the law, the courts at some level should intervene.

Everybody capable of critical thinking knows it was stolen. I stayed up late and literally watched it happen.

After midnight but before the inexplicable counting stoppages.

Trump led in PA by 682,000 votes (15.2%)
Trump led in GA by 311,000 votes (7.5%)
Trump led in MI by 307,000 votes (9.6%)
Trump led in WI by 128,000 votes (4.9%)
Trump led in NC by 77,000 votes (1.4%)

* Decertify Pennsylvania
* Decertify Georgia
* Decertify Wisconsin
* Decertify Nevada
* Decertify Michigan

* DECERTIFY BIDEN!

“The legislature had a chance to get things right. Initial legislation banned the 3 main fraud activities. Party leadership demanded that those clauses be removed and subsequently, Georgia still has: mail in voting, drop boxes and harvesting.”

Stats I saw for the 2022 General Election showed about 15 out of 16 GA voters cast ballots in person, ID required. This due to the difficulty of applying for a mail-in ballot.

You can’t get rid of mail-in completely due to disablitiy laws, but Georgia eliminated about 80% in 2022 vs 2020 (even the NY Times ran a story about the drastic cutback on mail-in in GA). Black leaders in Atlanta were quoted as saying they would have to rely on in-person voting since large scale mail-in efforts were too time consuming with the passage of the 2021 voter reform law.

Drop boxes, nearly eliminated around the state. No drop boxes on street corners allowed, they have to be at public buildings. Drop box hours are 7AM to 7PM, no more midnight ballot dumps.

There was a single drop-box location in downtown Atlanta, at a Rec Center, on MLK Blvd. There was another up in Buckhead at the public library and one down in the Lakewood area.

The 2021 voting law worked.
