Members of the now-defunct January 6 Committee howled in protest as Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) reportedly gave Fox News host Tucker Carlson access to over 40,000 hours of footage of the Capitol riot.
The Committee, hand-picked by then Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for their hatred of former President Donald Trump, only released selected clips — and doctored the evidence to push their narrative of an “insurrection.”
Critics of the committee had long argued that they should release all of the evidence.
After Axios reported that Carlson had been given the footage, committee members reacted in outrage — mostly singing from the same songsheet: namely, accusing Carlson, a skeptic of the Ukraine war, of being “pro-Putin.”

I have a problem with Tucker Carlson being the sole gatekeeper of the J6 video.
Why not release it all publicly for anyone to view? And especially why not release it all to the J6 defendants who are fighting in court for their freedom?
Since the video has been released to Fox News and Carlson, then it should be released to every J6 defendant as discovery material.
How does one review over 40,000 hours of video in the detail necessary to understand it and the people identified therein?
Will the committee make available the law enforcement tools for facial recognition or other technical assistance?
I suspect such a gift will be meaningless for any near-term use.
They will show a lot but will Dominion Tucker show it?

How many of the ‘howlers’ are republicans? Gotta admit it’s the peoples information. Giving it to Tucker first is questionable but then the rats would do just that.

Vetting The shear volume of 40,000 hours is daunting at best and will lead to the song and dance of, the videos have no context, they’re not complete, they’ve been doctored or altered to suit a narrative. Once again the dems may howl but they’re not really afraid nothing will come of this. imho
Start with the most relevant cameras first. No doubt Carlson will have staff plowing though the film.
If i had to compile some kind of coherency ..i probably would try not to change the footage from another camera unless it appeared seamless. Like i was directing a Hollywood film.

I concur. That is a lot of information, which when presented in bite sized piece’s for the masses can create any narrative they want. Folks will only believe with an agreeable narrative, as you said, and so it seems more like distraction than getting to the truth.
I was here for the month leading up to J6 and followed the live thread. Now folks would have me believe there were only a dozen maga folks and everybody else was antifa or feds 🙄
