Time to remove the revival off campus since Asbury has no place for Jesus.

I agree.

Satan is fast expunging anything to do with God’s grand
design.

We’re reaping the whirlwind.

Is it what those students paid all of that tuition to do? Will you be pleased when the bitch about not learning anything due to lack of attendance?

There used to be perpetual adoration at Catholic colleges with good academic reputations. I guarantee you that the number of hours spent by in prayer per student does not begin to approach the number of hours partying per student in most colleges.

Our Lord said "Pray always". That can include dedicating your work, study, and even sleep to God as a prayer, but it can also include regular prayer.

It will be interesting to see if an off campus church opens its doors for the revival to continue.

Yep - all of the above. Moving it to a larger space (church, tent, warehouse, etc.) is a great idea! I imagine that if God wants this revival to continue that something like that will happen.

Or - perhaps God figures it is time for those that have attended bring the revival back to their communities and it spreads there.

...and children raised with no morals.

I would expand a bit to say, "children and parents raised with no morals."

I remember people used to sign up for novenas and for their time in the chapel one to three hours iirc. Nice when the choir was rehearsing.

I traveled visiting many church services of many different denominations to evaluate the techniques used to create a group hysteria.

I visited Pentacostal church services and revival meetings, Messianic Jewish services, charismatic Christian and Catholic services, and even a few Buddhist and Hindu services.

Prior to this I studied and trained in stage hypnosis, something I will never use. I studied it to identify the mind manipulation tricks used in religious services to get followers. I learned group trance induction techniques.

Many of the people falling prey to these techniques will swear on a Bible they are born again, but it has nothing to do with religion. It is an external surrender to a person or group. It is a trance state similar to a mass hysteria that causes a person to lack discernment.

I provide the following for information purposes. If anyone uses it to manipulate people, you are accountable to God for your actions.

It’s a 4 step process for trance induction. This works best in an evening service or at the end of a weekend retreat.

1. Allow the volume of your voice to go up and down. Cause people to lock onto your voice. Even turning the PA system up and down gets people to strain a bit at times to hear.

2. Destabilize emotional consciousness. Testimonials and music helps with this. Tell a sad story and the a happy story. This gets follower’s consciousness attaching to the words of the leader even stronger. Music that enhances emotional intensity assists in this consciousness destabilization.

3. Induce guilt, fear, or anger to totally eliminate logical ego consciousness. Guilt is easiest to induce in a religious setting. The person becomes like an emotional child and loses all discernment. They essentially shifted into their emotional feminine consciousness and rely on the leader for logical stability.(I also studied non-verbal hypnosis induction techniques that utilize similar processes)

4. Offer a way to get rid of the guilt, fear or anger. “If you accept Jesus into your life right now .....” The person will go through a physiological and psychological shift and appear to change. They are in a trance state and have surrendered their individual will externally to another person.

These same techniques are used in trance induction by hypnotists.

I am not discounting the existance of the real experience of being born again. In the real process a person surrenders internally, not externally. They surrender to God, not another human. It is an individual experience more than a group experience.

I was shown this process happening in a large scale on earth in a series of visions back in the early 1990’s. It physically made me sick to see it happen.

I turned to God in deep prayer and tearfully asked, “ Why was I shown these atrocities?” God replied, “This is how the anti-messiah will lead my people astray.”

This is what is happening right now...

Peter’s conversion at Pentecost was the real thing, but done in a different way. In the real process, the Holy Spirit moves into an individual and changes the person. This will also be happening in the future, but first people must be led astray.

If it of God it will survive. If not of God it will dwindle and die out. College president should read up on the Bible.

My first reaction — even as a devout believer — is that this is nothing more than attention grabbing histrionics by emotional Pentecostal; types.

“Could this not be an example of mass formation psychosis like we saw with the COVID pandemic?”

Hel-lo .. and THANK you. These days (end times) we’ll be presented with delusions to confound. Discernment is, and will be, critical.

Adding to your devil’s advocate theme, I have to say that when I saw video clips of this event I got goose bumps, but not in a good way. Like the first few times I saw and heard Obama. (But that’s just me.)

If it’s an authentic revival, a school president doesn’t have the power to stop it. If it’s meant to continue, it will — somewhere else.

"It was getting to the point of being ridiculous...like a permanent tent revival...taking on the looks of virtue-signaling we so despise on the part of the Left."

Spot on, Flaglady47.

These folks made a beautiful testament in their revival, God bless them....and there was no need to belabor their point.

They knew when to hold 'em...and when to fold them, as the old-but-true saying goes.

If you think God was glorified by your “research”, I have a feeling you are in for a surprise when you meet the Lord face to face. Cynicism is not a Godly attribute, imho.

I agree, but I do not agree this was getting out of hand
though.

We see so much carnage on our universities these days.

Here’s an opportunity to have a revival there as long
as it still has legs, and the powers that be put a
stop to it.

Yeah, let’s get back to leaving the door wide open for
evil to prevail.

Can someone tell me what evidence they saw that this
was getting out of hand? Maybe I’d agree if someone
came up with it.

Time will tell. True revival bears some very evident fruit. A collective spirit of humility and brokenness, exaltation of God’s word, great zeal and urgent desire to evangelize in Jesus name, repentance of sin and turning to personal holiness.
My concern is that it may well be a collective exercise of emotion as seen in the popular megachurch worship services these days.
