...On Tuesday night, as senators entered the House chamber before Biden’s speech began, Santos and Romney were seen to speak for about 10 seconds.
Efforts at lipreading spread across the internet. Most thought Romney said “You ought to be embarrassed”, or similar. CNN reported that someone who witnessed the exchange said Romney told Santos: “You don’t belong here.”
Santos continued speaking to Romney as the senator walked away.
After Biden’s speech, in a scrum of reporters, Romney was asked about the exchange. Confirming he said “You don’t belong here,” he added: “He shouldn’t be in Congress.”

Biden’s lies about his life, combined with lies from Elizabeth Warren, Richard Blumenthal and many others are equally bad.
Santos should not resign or be thrown out of Congress, the voters of his district should decide that issue, with people like Romney bashing you, Santos could end up being a sympathetic figure.
It may well be true that Santos does not belong in Congress. But the likes of Mitt would never call out a Democrat for similar (or worse) behavior.
Santos fits right in, in my opinion. Inveterate liar and fake? Mitt’s just jealous.

And Mitt’s the one who shouldn’t be here. He’s worse than Santos because he has more power which makes him more dangerous.

He’s a buffoon. We know it. He knows we know it. He’s no worse of a liar than Biden, Hillary, et al. Not to excuse his lies, but his voters chose him. Maybe he’ll vote the right way, as opposed to Mitt who never votes the right way.
Re #13, if Biden can get away with it, so can Santos. When congress cleans out the WH, then it can clean out the HOR.

Worse or better is a value judgment, but he is certainly a more careless liar. What kind of a guy lies about his mother’s death twice - first about 9/11 and then in 2008?
Blumenthal lied about being IN Vietnam when he was just a Vietnam ERA veteran, who stayed stateside.
Maybe that’s worse, but it is not as far-reaching and out of this world as Santos claiming he was the producer of Spiderman and a real estate tycoon and working in Goldman Sach’s non-existent business unit.

NY-3 is a blue-leaning district that is winnable. Of course Santos (that Gay Latino Santos) won it too, but his antics may kill the district for decades.
