No need for a photo. Usual suspect
Yep. Didn’t need to look.
You don’t have to look.
I’m not blaming the victim, but there is a cautionary note here. According to the article, the victim was carrying $24,000 in cash to buy a car he saw on Facebook Marketplace. That is why he met with the shooter.
This seems like a stunningly naive thing to do. I cannot see how the risk would be worth the few dollars saved.

At least do the deal in the police dept parking lot.
Possibly profane.
A rap sheet with 22 priors, we see this so many times. It’s a real problem that needs attending to. When will the government and judiciary wake up to this problem?
He’s BLACK? I am SHOCKED!
sensible advice
but honestly for that amount of money, I’d feel safer going thru a used car dealer where I could deal in cashier’s checks instead of greenbacks.
“Suspected NYC cop-shooter caught upstate”
Rockland county? That’s like 25 miles. I guess anything north of Manhattan is “upstate.”
Will he be released promptly due to the new no cash bail policy?
Weird: The article says that the Post is withholding the name of the officer, but the caption on one of the photos gives his name.
Maybe it’s blurred to protect the name of a third party.
Here’s a clear image of it:
And, Lonesome, you spelled Massachusetts wrong - bet nobody has mentioned that before :)
“When will the government and judiciary wake up to this problem?”
When the voters of New York wake up and stop voting Democrat.
It’s not a gang tattoo. I assume they obscured the tat in case the guy is actually not guilty of the charges. If the tattoos are easily identifiable they might open themselves up to some sort of legal action for publishing it. But I’m not sure.
