There was a color film short in 1930 called
The Devil's Cabaret, which was also based on the idea of dancing in (or into) hell, sections of which can be watched
here and
here. The ending can also be found on a TikTok reel, but I won't link that here for obvious reasons.
Compared to the stuff today it seems tame, but at its time it was just as demonic as it gets. The only ray of hope is that this was one of the last movies of its type before the Hays code started cleaning up Hollywood movies and associated music, so we may be at the same point in our historical cycle as well.

There was a color film short in 1930 called The Devil's Cabaret, which was also based on the idea of dancing in (or into) hell... That is truly a great analogy. While I vaguely remember hearing about this film, when I just looked into it the visuals in the performance last night appear to be a tribute, actually.

I dvr’d it because the wife wanted to see the entertainment. Her viewing didn’t last long at all. I totally dislike these self congratulatory awards shows and refuse to watch them. But that’s just my humble opinion.
