Disney has been slammed for going woke yet again after a new cartoon series features black children rapping about reparations – saying 'slaves built this country'.

The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder has sparked outrage by showing the characters discovering that their town was built by slaves and then giving a presentation to their school.

As part of the rap, which as been branded 'blatant anti-white propaganda', a white character is seen standing on a stage with a poster that says 'still not atoned'.

Perhaps. But that doesn’t decrease my desire to see them fail badly in any way they can.

I place them in the same category as the New York Times. I once held that I never wanted to see a business fail and put employees out on the street.

But that was before I came to accept the there exist businesses whose goal is the destruction of things I hold dear.

I’ve been saying that for years. Since 1993 when I went to Epcot center....one of the presentations there claimed that the greatest concern in America was AIDS. Everybody, please, never take your kids to Disney entertainment. Parks, legacy stuff, merchandise, books, tv shows. Don’t buy any Disney themed food products, and don’t be involved with their other properties like ESPN, abc television, Hulu and whatever else is owned by them. Sorry about anyone who owns stock in them, or used to work for them when they weren’t so blatantly anti decency. Sell your shares and go to different entertainment. They/them must be financially destroyed by lack of business. Their construction will eventually collapse or be taken over by other groups.

Lincoln gave priority to preserving the Union, but personally despised slavery and wished to contain it if he couldn’t end it.

He wished to contain it's ability to gain more seats in Congress where they could do something about the system rigged to funnel money from the Southern states into the pockets of the corrupt greedy Northern power brokers.

Southerners were paying 72% of all the taxes. *THAT* is something they don't teach you in history.

The economies of the states without slavery were strong and grew faster than those with it.

Four times the population tends to do that. Also taking 60% of the money produced by the slaves and pumping it into the New England economy also helped that economy grow faster.

Imagine what would have happened if that 60% went back into the Southern states?

The effort to try to get that 60% going back to the states that produced it is exactly why the Civil War started. The corrupt Northern powers controlling Washington DC were not going to tolerate having that money taken away from them.

Unfortunately the same small minds exist on the other side of the debate as well and they make similar arguments with nearly identical revisionist history about Lincoln.

Corwin Amendment tells you everything you need to know about Lincoln.

The Federalist Papers dealt extensively with the possibility of war between the states, and the evils that would ensue because of it, and Lincoln was very much aware of the founders’ thinking. But nitwits who can’t read contemporary English, let alone late 18th Century, have no foundation from which to understand history, so they let liars and a@@-holes do their thinking for them.

The antifederalists predicted the Civil War. They were exactly correct in their concerns.

Antifederalist #29.

Thirdly, the absolute command of Congress over the militia may be destructive of public liberty; for under the guidance of an arbitrary government, they may be made the unwilling instruments of tyranny. The militia of Pennsylvania may be marched to New England or Virginia to quell an insurrection occasioned by the most galling oppression, and aided by the standing army, they will no doubt be successful in subduing their liberty and independency. But in so doing, although the magnanimity of their minds will be extinguished, yet the meaner passions of resentment and revenge will be increased, and these in turn will be the ready and obedient instruments of despotism to enslave the others; and that with an irritated vengeance. Thus may the militia be made the instruments of crushing the last efforts of expiring liberty, of riveting the chains of despotism on their fellow-citizens, and on one another. This power can be exercised not only without violating the Constitution, but in strict conformity with it; it is calculated for this express purpose, and will doubtless be executed accordingly.

Antifederalist #26

But it is possible that the rich men, who are the great land holders, will tax us in this manner, which will exempt them from paying assessments on their great bodies of land in the old and new parts of the United States; many of them having but few taxable by the poll. Our great Lords and Masters are to lay taxes, raise and support armies, provide a navy, and may appropriate money for two years, call forth the militia to execute their laws, suppress insurrections, and the President is to have the command of the militia. Now, my countrymen, I would ask you, why are all these things directed and put into their power? Why, I conceive, they are to keep you in a good humor; and if you should, at any time, think you are imposed upon by Congress and your great Lords and Masters, and refuse or delay to pay your taxes, or do anything that they shall think proper to order you to do, they can, and I have not a doubt but they will, send the militia of Pennsylvania, Boston, or any other state or place, to cut your throats, ravage and destroy your plantations, drive away your cattle and horses, abuse your wives, kill your infants, and ravish your daughters, and live in free quarters, until you get into a good humor, and pay all that they may think proper to ask of you, and you become good and faithful servants and slaves.

And also to contain slavery. Everything is not about money, though it’s part of the big picture.

black people picked cotton; Chinese, Irish, Italians, Scots, English, Swedes, Jews, and Norwegians built this country ...

A lot of poor white folk picked cotton too.

And also to contain slavery.

Slavery was already contained, though most of the reasons people wanted it contained were because they didn't want black people in the territory, not because they cared about people being forced to work for the benefit of others.

Slavery could not go into the territories because the territories were unsuitable for plantation style of farming. It was economically unfeasible to grow cotton or tobacco (two main cash crops) in the territories.

According to the wikipedia entry on "New Mexico Territory", when the territory extended all the way from Texas to California, there were less than a dozen slaves in it.

There was no money in slaves in the territory, and the people of that time who were in power knew this.

Their efforts to keep slavery from "expanding" were all about preventing any gains of congressmen or Senators by the Southern coalition. It was never about morality.

Everything is not about money, though it’s part of the big picture.

What I find is that it always traces back to money if you dig deep enough.

With the Northern coalition having a majority in Congress, they could tax the Southern states at 72% and send the money to the Northern industries where it would enrich the people who had control of the government.
