The U.S. has destroyed a Chinese balloon that had been floating over the continental United States over the past several days.
Footage on social media showed the balloon exploding during flight and beginning to fall toward the earth.

The balloon would have made it all the way back to China after floating over Europe and the middle-east. All the while collecting and transmitting intelligence data about U.S. and European capabilities.
The ONLY REASON it was shot down today, was because Biden didn’t want to have the balloon still being a big story during the SOTU message this week. Any other week, the Chinese would have been allowed to gather all the information they needed. But, the optics would have messed up the SOTU speech.
Biden and the Chinese are best buds, but, the balloon would have been too much to accept before the SOTU>
How far off the coast? Was it over international waters, and if so, is this a violation of international law?

Gee, now the Chinese do not have to pay for the problem of taking it home and landing it. We probably saved them a buck or two.
What a bunch of diffuses. They should have done this as soon as they knew it was heading for U.S. airspace. They only reacted because American eyes saw this one and got pictures of it. How many other Commie ballons have there been that our Commie government let fly over the Country and spy on us?
