The U.S. military has shot down the Chinese spy balloon over the Atlantic Ocean.
While the balloon was off the coast of South Carolina, the balloon was shot down by the U.S. military on Saturday afternoon, according to Fox News sources

When JFK sent troops to the Bay of Pigs Jackie Gleason had a monologue on his regular show where he said “It’s about time he got up out of that rocking chair and sat on a Castro.”
To younger people: JFK used a rocker partly to help improve his painful back from serious injuries saving lives in the WWII Pt109 incident. A Castro Convertible was a type of couch popular in the 1950 and 60s.
Sadly, Gleason and the rest of us heard later the invasion was a bust and a humiliation to the US.

It may seem like an idea from the 1960s, but high-altitude balloons 60,000-90,000 feet above the Earth’s surface, equipped with machine learning algorithms and solar panels, are a cheap, effective way to watch hypersonic missile testing from America’s geopolitical rivals. They can also loiter for much, much longer than any drone. If any of the massive balloons get forced down, they’d just be another weather balloon, which the National Weather Service still uses.
Please do not try to shoot down an NWS weather balloon.
I don't trust the ChiComs at all. I'm just scratching my head wondering what intelligence an unguided balloon can gather that hasn't already been seen by spy satellites?
With the millions of dollars given to the Brandon Crime Family Syndicate, once and awhile they have to let something happen. Nothing happens for nothing.
It followed a pretty deliberate path for an “unguided weather balloon,” but if you’re going to trust the Chinese, you have to believe that’s what it was.
Is there a history of the track of this “weather balloon/spy balloon/ CBW delivery balloon” so we can know where the Chicom Wuhan cooties were released?

It wasn't a bust. JFK pulled the air support and hundreds either died or were taken prisoner and shot. The CIA never forgave JFK and got their revenge in Dallas.

It followed the air currents. We have photographs of it. Clearly, it was unguided.
Still, what intelligence did it gather that the spy satellites missed?
