After the three public shootings over the last two weekends in California, Democrats are again clamoring for even more gun control laws. To California Gov. Gavin Newsom, the solution is to ban more places where people can carry permitted concealed handguns. Unfortunately, the proposal has nothing to do with stopping these attacks, and more gun-free zones only encourage these attacks. Other heavily Democratic states such as New York, New Jersey, and Maryland are making similar pushes.
Concealed handgun permit holders didn’t commit those or other mass public shootings. Permit holders are also extremely law-abiding, being convicted of firearms-related violations at 1/12th the rate of police officers.

A real back fire against gun control would be voting Democrats out of office. Until then, the shootings just show how laws are ineffective.
I live in one of the bluest of blue states. The crime is so bad, the libs are buying guns and are applying for permits at a record pace. Even they are frightened by what their leaders of choice are doing to them.
We have just over 7 million residents and we are quickly approaching 1 million active CCW’s. That is a fact not lost on the dimocRAT leaders. Consequently those same insane elected officials are trying their hardest to instill more gun control laws that even their constituencies don’t want.
It must really be a mind blowing experience being a dimocRAT. Sucks being them.

People with concealed permits are not the problem. The mere fact that they have to pass a background check proves they are not criminals.
Criminals with illegal weapons are the ones committing crimes along with nutcases, many of which were on the cops radar before murdering anyone.
They want to pass more feel good laws that does nothing other than restrict the 2A and leaves the criminals (aka voters) alone. It amazes me how people can buy into such an illogical argument.
Which is why very few people obey the illegal “laws” in Californication. Dep bring on which city you visit there, at least one in twenty carrier. Likely one in ten in a number of places. Veey few ever get “caught” but the mere existence of such anti-American “laws” leaves millions of citizens vulnerable to state harassment, threat, and occasionally even imprisonment — for doing nothing more or less than exercising their constitutionally- recognized rights.
Criminalizing the masses is a major objective of any tyranny. It is a primary control mechanism in subjecting the citizens and turning a nation into a authoritarian dictatorship. And it works too. Nazi Germany! Soviet Union. Communist china. North Korea.

Has anyone noticed that the more gun control laws the dumbasses on Capistol Hill pass, the more the numbers of mass shooting have increased. Mass shootings and murders have skyrocketed since Demented Jo Jo and his commie RATS and BLM fascist pals have taken over everything.

After several shootings in churches in Texas, they changed the law to allow carry in churches. Target rich environments. The left hates Christians, and the kids are programmed early on.
Of course the mass shootings that result give more ammo to the left to ban guns. Very circular.

And of course now the move is on for constitutional carry. You don’t know who is carrying and perps are afraid to start anything. I don’t like open carry because you risk somebody taking your gun by surprise, although there have been times when I have open carried.
