Edit: The primary balloon is allegedly over Missouri as of around 5:00pm Eastern time. By the time this gets out it will have moved on, probably to the east coast. Sorry for the delay, I recorded this on the morning of Feb 3 and it has taken 6 hours to upload because I'm currently in the middle of the woods working on unrelated content. Crises clearly don't like fitting into my production schedule as I would like.
Edit 2: 1933 Eastern - picking up reports of a possible missile strike on a balloon over Montana. Developing right now, more information to follow.
Just a quick update: We're tracking multiple targets so this is to clear up any confusion thus far. Total of Two balloons CONFIRMED so far, One in Montana, one in Latin America (somewhere). There are possibly two different balloons in latin america, but the DoD has only confirmed one down there. No word in several hours on the possible bogey in Canadian airspace. As of a few minutes ago, locals in Billings, Montana observed a possible strike on a balloon.

Give China Joe a break, he has been in the process of making sure kids have more nutritious meals in public schools.
We have no border despite paying for a border patrol, we have no homeland defense despite paying for one (for the US, not the one we pay for for Ukraine)
Time to cut some budgets. Homeland security + DoD should get a 25% cut. If we are not using it, we may as well save some money.
That would be easy meat for an F-15 with an AIM 120 or even a gun shoot.

I doubt it’s caring any kind of payload other than monitoring equipment and satellite spying equipment cameras it’s not caring, biological and it’s certainly not caring nuclear the array on it suggest solar power panels

Really not much militarily useful information to be gained from improved resolution over satellites in low earth orbit.
